Due to another kidney stone surgery, my usual Friday afternoon posting had to be canceled. Here is a re-posting of one of my previous week's efforts:
Angels do not fly;
they’re lifted by God’s hand and
placed where there is need.
That’s interesting.
But, perhaps, a distinction,
without a diff’rence.
(Unless, of course, their dreams are
to do me harm or kill me.)

a used walker. wearing a
Nike Warm-up suit.

You are romantic
You really can't help yourself
But that is okay
I gave it all up
Years ago; so long ago
I found new romance
The romance of kids
There is a humanity
That trumps romance
I am glad you have
Recovered again this time
Pain is hard to take
Goddamn the kidney
When it stones us without cause
It's kind of like fate
Get well Mr. Smith!
Really sweet lines as always.

Beautiful, Mr. Day. Thank you for the kind words.
Romantic yearnings
can send us on crazy quests
to find another's heart.

Children are a joy
from which fate has deprived me ...
no college funds though.

I hope the surgery went well for you and you are now comfortable. Take care.
