I encourage everyone here to read this.  It is a interview with Nancy Fraser.  She has been on the fore front of feminism and gender thinking and study for decades. 

I come from this school of thought because of what I see with my own eyes.  I have written about what life is like for many in the lower half of our society.  I also wrote a great deal about what happened with Greece and keeping you informed during the crises. Most of my working career as been working in jobs were I was the only women and blazed my own trail. 

Just imagine what it will be like at Mass this weekend in New York.  I say that because I was educated by Nuns and went to Mass almost everyday until I was 13 years old. It won't be political but there will be sermons on the theme of moral economy and ecology with prayer.

People Got No Money. And they keep reminding him that he does the Republic no favors when he gives platforms to the likes of Michael Gerson, a pious fraud, and torture-porn enthusiast Marc Thiessen. What Bernie Sanders proposes may be blue-sky stuff, but at least it's looking at the sky. It's not the shoe-gazing trudge toward oligarchy with which The Washington Post is comfortable.

The Millennials are the largest voting block now and even out number the baby boomers. This is the generation that is going to drive the direction of future policy in politics. We are experiencing a generational realignment in our political discourse. The conservative Reagan era is headed to the dust bin of history. The GOP is in decline and disarray. This realignment isn't going to be in little baby steps because history shows it never is.  Sanders gets this and has offered to lead.

David Bowie has died after a battle with cancer, his rep confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. He was 69.

"David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18-month battle with cancer. While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief," read a statement posted on the artist's official social media accounts.

This isn't good.  It will probably be worse then last weeks. 

AN BERNARDINO, Calif. -- Police on Wednesday confirmed there had been a shooting incident at a social services center in San Bernardino, California, a city of more than 215,000 people about an hour east of Los Angeles. Officials initially reported there were up to 20 victims and that up to three shooters were at large.

Ann Selzer is one of most respected and reliable pollster in Iowa. This was a interview on Bloomberg TV a week ago and it is a video only.  It is interesting because she really knows her state.  She uses her polling data to back up her analysis.  This year is the first year that she is also doing national polls 

The title makes it sound like a full out hit piece. It's tone isn't as harsh as some political commentary I have read lately. It is a critical look at the years that she was First Lady and actively supporting her husband's tough on crime bill. It also gives the numbers as to the population increase in jail from 1995 to 2000 after he signed the crime bill.

Global warming newsworthy event. 

It is expected to drop 12 inches of rain where they only get a few inches a year. So just imagine a hurricane plowing through Arizona and the flooding it would cause. How much damage it would do to the dessert ecology as it washed everything away.

Extreme weather does effect politics. causes unrest and migration.  We are seeing that in Syria with a extreme drought.

There is a revolt brewing in the campaigns against the RNC.  This could get interesting.

Not invited to the meeting: Anyone from the RNC, which many candidates have openly criticized in the hours since Wednesday’s CNBC debate in Boulder, Colorado — a chaotic, disorganized affair that was widely panned by political observers.

Here is a scientific forecast of what is in store this winter and spring in this years El Nino 2015/16. There are gifs that show the way this all works together across the world.  Some really interesting stuff. 

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has warned that the ongoing El Niño episode could rival the strongest El Niños on record (1982-83, 1997-98) and is nearly certain to last into the Northern Hemisphere spring of 2016.

These are some real jerks that have no clue about nutrition. I bet half of them can't even program their ovens to come on.

Wisconsin did pass a bill Assembly Bill 177 but it required that they spend 2/3 of their benefits on foodstuff designated by the state as nutritional items.  They only banned the purchase of shell fish.
