with a minute to think on McConnell's speech for a minute, it was very much all about "state's rights" conservatism, that the states decisions are like the holy grail and it would be heresy to challenge. Toomey is making similar arguments right now, also in support of the Electoral College being separate from Congress' influence, that is "states rights" too. He is very eloquent about it.
ANYHEW that these speeches are going on just fine is proof that the Capital police are handling the protesters just fine. Though CNN is reporting that the have put the Capitol building is in lockdown at the moment, that no one is allowed to leave.
police stations and cars have been burned, looting galore, portland fed buildings under siege for weeks moms have to come in, tons of statues owned by the public expensively damaged or destroyed, lots and lots of arson including fed indictments, possible bombings, etc. etc
this in particular.looks to me EXACTLY like lots of lefty protests like I have seen since May.
enough about this already, I'm done except to say
it's very clear to me that only one you are hurting with your revisionist blindness about what has been going on in this country since May only hurts one person: you! If you can't see the bad effect the more violent protests from the left have done (and purposeful if by anarchists! they want to inspire revolution) you can't properly make wise political judgments.
The actual damage to property that righty protesters have done overall is far far far less than lefty protesters.
And right now: just like Portland protesters had no right to breach and damage federal property, just like left wing protesters have no right to breach the Wisconsin state capitol and destroy statues on top of it, righty protesters have no right to breach the U.S.capitol. Everything they are doing are things lefties have already defended this year. The left has shown the way and what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
you didn't really read a lot of the protest signs and the grafitti on federal buildings in summer, did you?
You didn't read how some of those in Portland, Chicago, etc. wanted to take the local government down? How others wanted to take the Federal government down?
How courts in some southern cities had to close to business because of protests?
How arson was attemted on federal buildings in more than one city?
These people were invited to D.C. to pressure members of Congress. The pressure to be applied was to get members of Congress to refuse to certify to results of the Electoral College. The goal is a coup. I view that as much different than local protests.
no, I am trying to clue you in on the fact that making excuses for extremists as part any coalition just because they happen to agree with you on one thing, this doesn't work out well. Over and over and over in history, this just doesn't work. You end up with the what's good for the goose is good for the gander thing, and then civilization goes all to heck.
Trump in video this afternoon to rioters, says "We love you, you are very special people"
Trump is like the kid in High School who eggs on two classmates into a fight, and then takes off when he vice principal arrives. He's a vile man and a coward.
If the GOP doesn't invoke the 25th on him no telling what hell do next.
ocean-kat, one reason I think the prosecution of the Proud Boys leader is so interesting is that tearing down a Black Lives Matter banner or artwork in protest is no different than tearing down a statue where you don't like its message.
AND it's going to eventually backfire on Trump BIG TIME! THINK ABOUT THAT, I MEAN REALLY THINK ABOUT THAT! How these kind of protests backfire! HUH? HUH? Why can't you get that?! You think doing it for another reason is okay, you find excuses. Well, other people don't buy your excuses. (Such as: people who vote for Biden for presiden-like maybe Latino business owners) t because he says we need more police, not less, but vote for "law and order" Republicans down ticket.)
We don't have estimates of how many people are in DC for these protests but it's referred to in news reports as hundreds or thousands not tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands. The Women's March against Trump was estimated as 500,000.
This is just a fringe group of little consequence. Lots of sound and fury, signifying nothing.
cops actually made big mistake not reinforcing a line around the capitol building land with a lot more manpower, then none of this dramatic stuff would have happened, all of any interaction would have just happened on the road.
Is the same thing Feds got criticized for doing in Portland, though, making a line of force outside a federal building.
You just gotta do it when there's anti-fed protests, because those buildings belong to everyone.
About the ONLY group Trump has taken care of in his four years as President have been cops. This is why. He bought their inaction over four years. https://t.co/kuYJT2miwc
While there may have been thousands or even tens of thousands there most weren't willing to fight to get into the capitol. While they may have occupied the territory after those willing to fight moved forward they weren't there for the fight. In every video I saw there were at most a couple of hundred confronting the police who were so few they were over whelmed. If the police numbers weren't so meager those couple of hundred could have been stopped.
yes and I think that is an important point just totally blown aside by the drama of the storming of the Bastille: most of the "Stop the Steal" crowd was law abiding and not dangerous at all. To the point where if law enforcement had properly ringed the whole perimeter of the Capitol with riot-gearing wearing officers and vans of swat team equipment, it would have been ridiculed by many including anti-police lefties and free speech on the street absolutists.
I posted on the "Capitol breached" thead a joke that was tweeted right as it started happening, I think it still applies, it was by German Lopez, retweeted by Yglesias, it's gone now, either deleted by Lopez himself or by Twitter. It was snark about the very common BLM-supporting comment like "but but but the majority of the protesters are peaceful". Neither side takes the danger of mobs forming during protests seriously enough. It's like oh they were just a bunch of renegades. Same thing with the storming of the Bastille or the Boston Massacre for that matter! Just a bunch of rioters and/or upstarts is all it takes.
Somebody heard Giuliani say that every cult member who gets arrested in the coup plot will receive a Presidential pardon, a Presidential Medal of Freedom and a signed MAGA hat in a ceremony just before noon on Jan. 20..!
but I would like to add that with the latest on CNN I am just getting strong Tea Party Dejas Vus Allover again with the marching around the statuary hall yellin and waving Trump flags. If I was really really old I suppose I would say it's also very Jacksonian
More like Aaron Burr, shot Hamilton on 5th Avenue, in service to a foreign power, organized a band of grifting troublemakers for a failed land grab, tried for treason, fled the country, and as an impecunious aging drifter married a rich heiress...?
CNN is reporting from on the ground that "the troops" have just arrived and they are "about to take control of the situation". I didn't hear who they are, I don't think he meant they are military. It's some kind of police in white vehicles and they got out with gas masks on. Everyone is no doubt going to get gassed shortly, hence also lockdown inside the building. They got the protestors who were inside outside and now there's going to be tear gas. There is a little sense of a plan starting to show.
And the literal hundreds of Black Live Matters protesters badly injured who committed such egregious crimes as 'shouting' and 'asking that fewer black people be shot'
Order the Acting SecDef to Capitol HIll *NOW* to testify about this shitshow.
Why is he even Acting? I guess by being confirmed for Antiterrorism Council he meets the "prior Senate confirmation" requirement to act. However...
In December 2020, it was reported that Miller had ordered the Pentagon to postpone 40 meetings with the incoming Joe Biden administration.[35][36] Miller said that this was a "mutually agreed-upon holiday pause" with the Biden transition, but the Biden transition team said no such agreement had been made.[29] Miller's decision to halt cooperation with the incoming administration came in the wake of President Donald Trump's refusal to concede in the election, refusals by various Trump administration political appointees to cooperate, and baseless claims of fraud by the Trump administration.[35][36][29] In January 2021, all ten living former defense secretaries raised alarm in an open letter against a military coup to overturn the election results, warning officials who would participate and specifically naming Miller, that they would face grave consequences if they violated the constitution.[37]
The acting Secretary of Defence confirms it was Vice President Pence NOT #Trump who authorised deployment of National Guard
actually, seeing this tweet made me realize all the talk about DOD not appropriate, what happened/may happen similar in the future is the province of Homeland Security:
A source says that DHS established a virtual situational awareness center to coordinate law enforcement response and the source also says, that Acting DHS secretary Chad Wolf is making plans to return to Washington as soon as possible. The Acting Secretary is currently overseas.
I would think it is actually pretty appropriate for DOD to decline to get involved.
For the same reason, Homeland Security "goons" were sent to help protect the Federal Courthouse in Portland, when some saw the local police as incapable. And everyone on the left complained. Undercover FBI of course, were out there, too. It is their job, like it or not, that is why they have always infiltrated protest "movements" that have potential for violence (and they did get quite a few indictments.) We have freedom of speech, including hate speech and angry speech, but we don't have freedom of acting it out, not if what we want to do is against the law.
When the Capitol is cleared and secured, and the joint session of Congress and the electoral vote count is completed, the House and the Senate should proceed immediately to the impeachment and removal of @realDonaldTrump.
I'm no constitutional lawyer, just another citizen who was watching events on the teevee, and maybe I misinterpreted things, but it seems to me that before even getting into all of that, Mr. Giuliani should be arrested--seems so clear the way I saw things is that he called for physical revolt and then quite shortly after that part of the crowd obeyed and went and stormed the Capitol? Just sayin'
It can't not be read symbolically, people will read it as such whether one wants them to or not:
Tonight as they watch the appalling scenes unfold on Capitol Hill authoritarian leaders from Beijing to Kremlin will be rejoicing. This is a record low for America. Very, very sad. Democracy in crisis.
but as far as Trump's own interests, it will backfire big time, no more "humoring":
"What is the downside for humoring him for this little bit of time? No one seriously thinks the results will change." -anonymous senior GOP official to The Washington Post, November 10 https://t.co/aRc82oqNKt
Wolf Blitzer just said National Guard from Maryland and also ? (didn't hear the second unit name) are on the way.
Reporter says multiple Capitol police officers have been injured, at least one transferred to the hospital and they sent a distress call. The riot police, which I mentioned upthread, came first and the National Guard is on the way.
My thoughts: So perhaps all the criticism about the cops on duty being as tough as they were on lefty protests is a bit unwarranted, they were overwhelmed and did not have suitable numbers to "be tough". Planning for the day's events by higher ups, though, was obviously very poor, whether intentional or just error. As I said upthread, all of the drama of the Capitol building could have been avoided if they had installed a tougher line on the grounds themselves, hundreds of yards away. Then all the "action" between protesters and police, if there was any, would have happened "out there". And the symbolic effect would have been much more limited.
But they did not expect that breach of the grounds in back as illustrated in the video I posted upthread, that they are reporting on CNN, too.
My take is that the prejudice involved would be in that they did not expect these protesters to get as violent and law breaking as they do expect from lefty protesters.
Trump has validated his supporters right to invade the Capitol and create havoc with his lies on the election.
Trump is actually afraid of his mob, He knows they cannot be controlled. If he was in front of them and asked or demanded they stop, they would ignore him, push him aside or walk over him.
He has challenged Trump to go on live TV immediately and denounce this.
He is basically addressing the importance of the symbolic to the world as well as the country here. The fragility of democracy, etc. "COMMON GOOD" "think of the what the rest of the world is thinking" "America is so much better than this" quoting Lincoln on chaos etc.
I am sure a video will be up allover the place as soon as he finishes.
response from Trump was a very very short video taken outside the White House, about two sentences. Saying nothing much except that he feels protesters pain but telling them to "go home."
New from John Podhoretz: The sacking of the U.S. Capitol Building is Donald Trump’s fault and his design. He should be impeached and removed from office immediately. https://t.co/N24rtalIGD
The 1954 United States Capitol shooting was an attack on March 1, 1954, by four Puerto Rican nationalists; they shot 30 rounds from semi-automatic pistols from the Ladies' Gallery (a balcony for visitors) of the House of Representatives chamber in the United States Capitol. They wanted to highlight their desire for Puerto Rican independence from US rule.
The nationalists, identified as Lolita Lebrón, Rafael Cancel Miranda, Andres Figueroa Cordero, and Irvin Flores Rodríguez, unfurled a Puerto Rican flag and began shooting at Representatives in the 83rd Congress, who were debating an immigration bill. Five Representatives were wounded, one seriously, but all recovered. The assailants were arrested, tried and convicted in federal court, and given long sentences, effectively life imprisonment. In 1978 and 1979, they were pardoned by President Jimmy Carter; all four returned to Puerto Rico [....]
ok the mayor has declared a curfew, 6 pm to 6 am. Just wondering if am I going to hear complaints that that is unreasonable and unfair and how it's not a big deal if protesters don't obey it and they shouldn't send in thugs to make people go home?
Right. There is no difference between prior protests and a President calling in his own thugs to intimidate legislators who are there to certify an election.
I have spent my entire adult life defending our Constitution and people’s rights to peacefully demonstrate. I never thought I’d need to defend democracy from an attempted, violent overthrow in our own nation’s Capitol. I will not yield to those who seek to harm our democracy.
Please - a few hundred ppl break into the Capitol is a "coup"? No tanks, no grabbing leaders? These folk just wanna get noticed, run their aggrievememt, victimhood campaign. I mean, I'm sure there's another building big enough to host vote certification. And any grandstanding about Repubs opposing certs? All the energy got sucked out of that for sure - didn't quite gain sympathy from core GOP, I imagine, other than the most lockstep.
No longer can it be asked, as George Will did recently of Hawley, “Has there ever been such a high ratio of ambition to accomplishment?” Hawley’s actions in the last week had such impact that he deserves an impressive share of the blame for the blood that’s been shed.
The acts were reprehensible, criminal, and an attempt to override the will of a democratic process. But there was nothing to be gained from it as a direct seizure of power. I hear the suggestion that it could be a prelude to something like that. But this ain't it.
They came to stop the certification of an election
The goal was to keep Trump in power
From the Guardian
On Wednesday, a coup attempt was led by the president of the United States. A rightwing mob attempted the coup in the form of a violent riot that stormed the Capitol building. They disrupted the proceedings that would have completed the recognition of the election of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Those proceedings had been disrupted earlier by elected officials bringing forth bad-faith claims that the election was not legitimate and should instead produce a continuation of Trump’s presidency. This too was a coup attempt, an attempt to violate the constitution and override the will of the voters in this election. Inside and outside were two faces of the same thing, and both were fomented by the leaders of the Republican party and by the US president. The mob outside would not exist without the politicians inside. Those insiders will make noises of horror and repudiation, but they own this.
Had Mitch McConnell and other Republican leaders recognized the legitimate winner of the election in early November, had there been no challenge to a legitimate election from inside the government, there would have been no mob. Having failed to suppress enough votes to guarantee a Republican presidential victory, the Republican party and the Trump administration decided to try to suppress them retroactively. Trump invited the mob and whipped it up for months and set it off today, as surely as if he’d lit a bomb’s fuse.
I get the intention of performance as an idea. I am not interested in apologizing for anybody involved or explaining their motivations.
But performing a successful overtaking of the state by means of violence is its own thing that should not be mixed up with other things. A coup would require people ready to replace other people in the moment. These people just want to get to their hotels before it is too late to get the free breakfast the next day.
If an authoritarian lost an election, they would use the same tactics to retain power. The vote was fraudulent/stolen. Intimidate current legislators. Find boxes of stolen votes. Claim victory. His people would already be in place in the government.
No, an authoritarian would skip the show pieces (mostly) and focus on acts that actually diatup and transfer/hold power. I don't even want to describe what those might be, cuz i don't need to give the wannabes any ideas, but a real vile politician has an idea what they are - not Donald & Followers' reality show. If curious, you can look at actual coups elsewhere to see how it's done
The key difference from the authoritarian you describe and the Congressional theater happening here is that the legislators involved don't want the results of the election changed. They want to inherit the zombie army Trump assembled for their own purposes.
Suppose that the process somehow ended up having Trump declared the victor by Pence. It is difficult to imagine how that outcome could happen but set that problem aside for the moment. This would lead to a crisis of governance where many people in power would not accept the result. A coup would require stripping that power through the assertion of martial law. That means having enough military people on your side to make it work. When people start resisting that move, political prisoners are taken or killed for demonstration purposes.
“I know your pain. I know your hurt. We had an election that was stolen from us. It was a landslide election and everyone knows it, especially the other side,” Trump falsely stated before telling his followers to go home. He then went straight back at it, lamenting, “There's never been a time where such a thing happened, where they could take it away from all of us—from me, from you, from our country.” And finally, “So go home. We love you. You're very special,” Trump concluded.
Aaron Rupar tweeted his sources in White House say Trump has gone completely insane. Pence ordered in the National Guard, possibly implementing a shadow 25th Amendment.
All these people should be arrested and jailed. Just as those from BLM should have been arrested and jailed when they engaged in violence, looting and burning.
It was a coup attempt by definition. But it was really more like a performance art coup than an actual coup attempt.
When BLM came to DC, there were rows of riot police on the steps of the Capitol for protection. They were tear gassed and hit with rubber bullets early on.
Trump supporters were able to breach the Capitol because they were treated with kid's gloves.
In Freudian terms, America is abandoning its superego and loosing its id.

Since this summer, statues of Founding Fathers have been toppled, government buildings occupied and attacked, and churches set on fire — the old boundaries of acceptable behavior are dissolving as condemnation of these acts becomes tribally selective.
The situation is still unfolding and hopefully doesn't lead to something really awful.
Apart from who and what egged these people on and any criticism that might be appropriately directed toward those in charge of security, the sheer purposelessness of the stunt as a means to an end blows my tiny mind. The place is just a building. If I was King, I would let anybody who wants to come in do so after it was evacuated and then lock the doors so they couldn't get out. When they get hungry, offer them a sandwich to eat on their way to jail.
While this is underway, hold the interrupted certification in another place, perhaps in the parking lot of a Landscaping Company or inside a Walmart. The thing the Brits learned slowly after two Revolutionary Wars was that when you burn one building down, the damn Americans throw the party in another one.
some major irony to go with your comment, moat (and from a Tory, yet!)
Disgraceful scenes in U.S. Congress. The United States stands for democracy around the world and it is now vital that there should be a peaceful and orderly transfer of power.
reminds me when I worked for a company with a British CEO, he always was half-joking half-serious complaining about why in the NY office we had to take a July 4 holiday.
just some pieces of ceremonial paper -could take a while to replace them, tho:
JUST NOW: @SenDuckworth tells us on @CBSNews that a "Quick-thinking" Senate aide seized copies of the Electoral College certificates before they all evacuated the chamber.
Like, I saw that coming yesterday - figgered it was a major goal of the protests.
Am I a stable genius? (nought from nought is nought, carry the nought...

Excellent job by Senate staff here. But it’s also fortunate that the Electoral Count Act requires duplicate originals of the vote and ascertainment certificates to be sent to a number of custodians, including the archivist of the U.S. and federal judges throughout the country. https://t.co/1QfalpZuQl
Omar's initial big picture thoughts (he's a historian of American protestin')
One way to make sense of the last 24 hours — the historic victories in Georgia and pro-Trump siege on the Capitol — is as a long-run contest between two American traditions: one committed to preserving the status quo racial hierarchy and one fighting to advance equality. 1/
This framework comes from an influential paper, “Racial Orders in American Political Development,” in which scholars Desmond King & Rogers Smith identify two governing coalitions, a ”white supremacist” order and a ”transformative egalitarian” order. 2/ https://t.co/nbAWmzmwFjpic.twitter.com/osQ7AISaoT
In short, while African Americans were enslaved and indigenous folks were dispossessed of their land, the white supremacist coalition ruled. With the Civil War and Reconstruction, the egalitarian coalition briefly prevailed. 3/
Post-reconstruction, the governing coalition flipped back to the enforced racial hierarchy of Jim Crow but then, under the sustained pressure of the civil rights movement, egalitarians were able to enact laws like the 1965 Voting Rights Act and the 1965 Immigration Act. 4/
The last 50 years are more ambiguous, though. We’ve seen both retrenchment in the push for equality, like the rise of mass incarceration and dismantling of the Voting Rights Act, and milestones for the egalitarian coalition, like the success of the push for marriage equality. 5/
Many people have commented that today’s political violence is ”un-American.” Seen from the perspective of the long Black freedom struggle, however, political violence to counter the possibility of a true multi-ethnic democracy is actually deeply American. 6/
Wasow makes a good point that violence and intimidation are crocheted into the fabric of our history. I am not sure this incident is a good example of it. There is a confidence in these protesters that they would not be shot on sight inside the building. For all the bravado displayed, they were counting on restrained rules of engagement. It is just like those camouflaged fucks prancing around in state houses with impunity.
I just came back from my local bodega with some beer. The owner told me that if this happened in "his" country, automatic weapons would have cleared the porches once the warning shots were ignored. I am glad that is not happening here. It is not wise to call out "bring it on" to such groups. But I have to admit the desire is there. Never start a fight you are not willing to finish.
Hey Moat, speaking of bodegas, haciendas and fincas, what do you think about my "Caudillo Theory" about Hispanics' political affections and mysterious (to most analysts & observers) voting patterns?
Pretty pitiful crew in this picture and I just gotta say it: take away the Trump paraphrenalia and they could be transported to the Portland crew tomorrow and fit right in, no one could tell which side they were on:
When Trump complained about "shithole countries" it would have been nice if he told us that his plan was to add America to the list before he left office. pic.twitter.com/RzPCUW4uL2
the anti-MSM sentiment appears pretty strong in this group (this is not the only thing I've seen, seen them verbally harassing CNN reporters here and there as they report)
A bunch of Associated Press equipment had to be abandoned and a crowd is trashing it. "We are the news now!" a man yells. Looks like they're going to try to light it on fire. pic.twitter.com/3GPNcUlDeC
seems like one of Trump's major legacies which will continue will be the feeding and amping up of that and that it doesn't always just come from Trumpies
should be mentioned that they've also also verbally harassed cops as well as reporters
President George Bush has finally had enough to break away from his artistic career and say something; click for picture of full statement if it doesn't load:

There is no one left on the streets of D.C.
There are police barriers everywhere, it feels like martial law – and it makes me sick. pic.twitter.com/cn7E0UYHuM
this local ABC reporter sort of live tweeted Bowser & Police Chief press conference if you want to know a bit of what was said without watching whole thing:
#Breaking Contee: 52 arrests (4 arrests in connection to weapons charges).
In addition:
-police found two pipe bombs
-six firearms recovered
Military leadership would not support Trump's desire to use the military against citizens, so he used the militia
Ben-Ghiat ― who wrote about Trump in “Strongmen,” her book about authoritarian leaders of the past century ― argued that he would have used the U.S. military if he could have, but that top Pentagon officials made it clear they would not participate in any of his schemes following their involvement in a June photo op that cleared Lafayette Square with tear gas and beatings.
“So he had to fall back on these other people, these militia types,” she said. “These people are very gun-happy. They’ve been waiting for this for years.”
One close Trump adviser said that while many Republicans believe Wednesday’s events will finally force Trump to tone down his behavior, it could have the exact opposite effect. Watching his exhortations translate into crowds following his commands could actually encourage him to do it again.
“Trump believes that in his heart: If he can get people to cheer for him, he thinks the people in the whole country are behind him,” the adviser said on condition of anonymity.
And, indeed, when Trump issued a video telling the mob to go home, he began by repeating the lies that had riled up his supporters in the first place. “We had an election that was stolen from us,” he said. “It was a landslide election, and everyone knows it.”

Trump is like the kid in High School who eggs on two classmates into a fight, and then takes off when he vice principal arrives. He's a vile man and a coward.
If the GOP doesn't invoke the 25th on him no telling what hell do next.

ocean-kat, one reason I think the prosecution of the Proud Boys leader is so interesting is that tearing down a Black Lives Matter banner or artwork in protest is no different than tearing down a statue where you don't like its message.
by artappraiser on Wed, 01/06/2021 - 2:41pm
Or the smashing of the Breonna Taylor statue. How is that wrong? Isn't that what we do to statues we don't like?

What is happening today is about a coup.
They were invited to the city by Trump to create havoc
The leftie protesters did not make them do it.
by rmrd0000 on Wed, 01/06/2021 - 2:58pm

There is a little sense of a plan starting to show.

actually, seeing this tweet made me realize all the talk about DOD not appropriate, what happened/may happen similar in the future is the province of Homeland Security:
I would think it is actually pretty appropriate for DOD to decline to get involved.
For the same reason, Homeland Security "goons" were sent to help protect the Federal Courthouse in Portland, when some saw the local police as incapable. And everyone on the left complained. Undercover FBI of course, were out there, too. It is their job, like it or not, that is why they have always infiltrated protest "movements" that have potential for violence (and they did get quite a few indictments.) We have freedom of speech, including hate speech and angry speech, but we don't have freedom of acting it out, not if what we want to do is against the law.

My take is that the prejudice involved would be in that they did not expect these protesters to get as violent and law breaking as they do expect from lefty protesters.

by rmrd0000 on Wed, 01/06/2021 - 8:28pm
I get the intention of performance as an idea. I am not interested in apologizing for anybody involved or explaining their motivations.
But performing a successful overtaking of the state by means of violence is its own thing that should not be mixed up with other things. A coup would require people ready to replace other people in the moment. These people just want to get to their hotels before it is too late to get the free breakfast the next day.
by moat on Wed, 01/06/2021 - 8:47pm
The venture had little chance of success. Replacements would not be needed as the political toadies are already in place at various agencies.
by rmrd0000 on Wed, 01/06/2021 - 9:05pm
You prove my case. The reliance upon the existing order makes the pretend coup an art project compared to those who actually seize power.
by moat on Wed, 01/06/2021 - 9:17pm
If an authoritarian lost an election, they would use the same tactics to retain power. The vote was fraudulent/stolen. Intimidate current legislators. Find boxes of stolen votes. Claim victory. His people would already be in place in the government.
by rmrd0000 on Wed, 01/06/2021 - 9:24pm

Direct text from Trump's insurrection video:
