three cheers for Mari (assistant editor at Jewish Currents) doing the "fear fear itself" thing. She will no doubt get a lot of flack from those invested in stoking victimhood Olympics, when all she's trying to do is figure out the reality of the situation and what people should actually be fearing and what they should not:

A friend in Sales once advised me, "when you go to talk to people, always find out what they're measured on" - a useful piece of advice in evaluating many endeavours, & 1 it seems Mari is partially doing - the ADL is likely not measured on "accurately assessing the situation" - it's say getting more attention for the org & making ADL seem needed. Calming things down is likely not its goal, however desirable it might seem.

Not going with Mari Cohen's approach, not even going with NYTimes' approach:
Foxman served as the National Director of the Anti-Defamation League from 1987 to 2015, and is currently the League's National Director Emeritus
Is ironic because many pro-Palestian peeps have long thought of the NYTimes as an arm of the Israeli propaganda machine...

apparently the offending front page looks like this:
It was really tough finding it on the website, though! Other news has pushed it aside. I didn't see it on the home page and I didn't even see it on the World page.
I had to go to the "Middle East" sub section of the "World" section and scroll way down to find it published online back on May 26
