Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt has resigned after months of ethics controversies, citing "the unrelenting attacks" on himself and his family, which "have taken a sizable toll on all of us."
Don't know what good it will do environmental-wise. Andrew Wheeler will assume the duties of acting administrator of the EPA and he is a climate-denier as well (she said while wondering when this brutal heat wave will end up here in northern Michigan).

This really surprised me.
All this means to me is that Pruitt is in a big bucket of shit right now.
That is, I bet that there are going to be some indictments coming soon. Otherwise, why did he finally leave now?

It surprised me too. I thought for sure he was gonna get pink-slipped. I mean, the guy was an ethical disaster, but apparently, finally able to read the writing on the wall of his sound-proof

Unfortunately, we're not really gaining anything by replacing Pruitt with Wheeler:
eta: I suppose he's an ethical step up (who wouldn't be?) but in the Trump administration, it's a small subtraction of a small man, at best.

Good lord, finally. It was simply incredible what he got away with before he did, day after day after day after day another revelation by the media and: crickets from Congress.Talk about feeling elite and entitled to special treatment, egads, must be a record?
Edit to add: A lot of it came from employees complaining about the demeaning stuff they had to do for him that is not in the public job descriptions! He was so outrageous it was beyond the pale, simply amazing. Exactly the kind of things that disgust almost all voters about the federal government! It was almost like he was put there to be fired as an example. But: nothing. And even now he gets to resign instead of publicly being fired. What the heck does he have over others that allowed it to go on and on?

AA it is just that there is a confluence? of issues here.
This man is a goddamn crook. Without ideology or without moral substance or without political motive, really.
Yeah, the next one might be bad for the environment; which is the case no matter which repub is appointed.
And all I have as far as a chant in my head is:
LOCK HIM UP, LOCK HIM UP
