What the hell? Five Points and Downtown Denver was super safe. Yeah, there wasn't that much there, plus there was a bit of homelessness heading to the railroad tracks, but also a safe vibrant underground scene and a reasonable friendly enjoyable center and a community college + university campus. And a reasonably close Hispanics plus gringos + Blacks layout - no big probs, no big ghettos. But someone wanted a football stadium, so they did a makeover, bring in the yuppies.
