    Ann Coulter continues to be horrible

    I really don't like that whole "play the nazi/fascist card" thing. But sometimes, statements like this specific one by Coulter seem to exhibit  a willingnes of the speaker to walk right up to the boundary between "other stuff" and outright fascist-like eugenics.

    It's as if the sub-text in her narrative can be accurately described as a variation of Lebensunwertes Leben.

    There was nothing in Coulter's piece that hasn't been said by her bunch before.  It wasn't even clever.  It looked like one of those pieces she sleepwalked through, grabbing paragraphs from somewhere else and dropping them into open spots because the realized five minutes earlier that she had a deadline.

    This is the same Ann Coulter, by the way, who defended Joe McCarthy's Red-baiting witch hunt in the 50s this way:

    “The portrayal of Senator Joe McCarthy as a wild-eyed demagogue destroying innocent lives is sheer liberal hobgoblinism. Liberals weren’t cowering in fear during the McCarthy era. They were systematically undermining the nation’s ability to defend itself while waging a bellicose campaign of lies to blacken McCarthy’s name. Everything you think you know about McCarthy is a hegemonic lie. Liberals denounced McCarthy because they were afraid of getting caught, so they fought back like animals to hide their own collaboration with a regime as evil as the Nazis.”

    When she was questioned about it later in an interview, she said (pararaphrasing here), "Jeez, get over it already.  Nobody died." 

    This is Coulter's shtick:  Keep the Right Wing arguments alive and blame the liberals for taking everything in them so seriously. 

    If the liberals believe in something, it means whatever they believe is un-American. 

    Throw in a few short sentences guaranteed to shock. 

    Collect your pay and never look back.

      It is crazy to say liberals were collaborating with the Soviet Union, especially in the 1950s, when they were as hawkish as conservatives(and one shouldn't exaggerate the extent of their dovishness in later years).

    She is horrible. We were due to hear a Coulter outburst sooner or later though, she hates it when she is out of the eye of the media for very long, it hurts her profits.

    Crap, now I'm more worried about Wayne LaPierre, Ted Nugent and Glenn Beck.

    Seriously, I have no fear of the overwhelming major of "mentally ill" people becoming violent. The truly mentally ill are more likely to be the victims of violence than creating violence. Improve the mental health care system, but focus more on people with an actual history of violence if you really want to quell gun violence

    Well sometimes you have to follow the evidence where it leads you. Look at the most recent gun homicides committed by mentally famous sports heroes like Oscar Pistorius. Football players, olympic athletes, and other athletes hopped up on steroids.

    Guns don't kill people famous sports heroes do.

    And she makes so much money over being a desiccated old bitch that she cannot help herself.

    The more she expresses herself as an idiot; the more money she receives.

    Why should she change her manner?

    Coulter does not believe in anything.

    If she did, she would end up like me.

    Unloved and unread and irrerelevant.
