NYT: Right-Wing Book Was A Source For FBI Inquiry Into Clinton Foundation from TPM. A preliminary FBI inquiry into the Clinton Foundation initiated this summer was based in part on Peter Schweizer’s book “Clinton Cash,” the New York Times reported Tuesday. Peter Schweizer is a right wing political muckraker whose other books include Architects of Ruin. which blames The Poors for the 2008 world wide economic collapse, because liberals forced Wall Street to rake in billions in bonuses by making liar loans to people who couldn't afford it, and Do As I Say (Not As I Do): Profiles in Liberal Hypocrisy, self explanatory on its right wing ideology.

Schweizer is listed as one of the two 'important people' of the Government Accountability Project, with Stephen  Bannon, the former Trump Campaign manager with ties to the former ousted Putin backed leader of the Ukraine. Schweizer is also a regular at Koch funded exclusive 'billionaire summits'.

Back to the FBI Book of the Month Club, the source for what to investigate at the FBI !

Bored FBI agents are patrolling the political section of the local book store last August, because there was no more serious topics to investigate this year, of course, than the Clinton's, who are widely widely hated by cops, pull out Schweizer's book Clinton Cash, take it back to FBI HQ and run it to the top of the investigation list and start investigating.

    NYT:

The investigation, based in New York, had not developed much evidence and was based mostly on information that had surfaced in news stories and the book “Clinton Cash,” according to several law enforcement officials briefed on the case.

Excerpt from an Amazon review on Schweizer's Clinton Cash book:

The last chapter of the book is titled Quid pro Quo? Note the question mark. The question mark means the question is unanswered. This book does not establish that fundamental fact. Nor does it find a smoking gun. The author, whose organization takes money from the likes of the Koch brothers - the ultimate crony capitalists - is being hypocritical when he points the finger at anyone, even the Clintons....

The FBI that is staffed with agents who get their investigative ideas from right wing muckraking best sellers, is the same FBI that had to ask for the public's help in identifying the Boston Marathon bombing Tsarnaev brothers when they had video of them, had been warned by Russian anti-terror police about them, and had interviewed them about 2 years previously. For FBI fails in the Boston bombing see FBI's Repeated Failures.

End this on a lighter note, if you consider that an FBI loaded with partisan right winger agents is light. Tom Toles:
