The Bishop and the Butterfly: Murder, Politics, and the End of the Jazz Age

It Takes a Village (to elect a pres)

Short post, but I'm amazed by the ground game, the well- cultivated coalitions with the black community (yes, they're voting), the new Hispanic powerhouse, females everywhere, and a lot of old familiar faces.

Harry Reid brought in Nevada for her - thought he was her enemy? Michelle and Barack got their mojo on for her - I thought they were cool to her plus didn't much campaign for anyone. Michael Moore made a movie to explain Hillary to the masses - thought he was an unrequited Bernie fan. Navarro like other Republicans made the switch for her - one of the real cases of "holding her nose", but even she knew abstaining wasn't enough - welcome. Joe Biden even kicked a little ass - thanks, Joe. Michael Bloomberg was there to say "How a real Billionaire feels" - a New York one at that. Some Facebook founder found the Bern for Hillary - a bit of cash in hand for hard times. All of the A-list female pop stars were out., plus half of Hollywood casting and Hamilton. The nation's newspapers all went for her (except for the Vegas one that Sheldon bought). And yes, Bernie was on hand and quite a few millennials - the Revolution isn't just a single person anyway, and his memes are all part of the discussion. Weld went off-message to give her a pat. Glenn Beck says he's coming around. Who else? Susan Sarandon in the house yet or Roseanne?

Hillary's got a Big Tent now - wish her luck in using it well. All that talk about grudges and who dislikes her is like follosing TMZ and Twitter feuds - Hillary will even knock one back with McCain to deal with that stupid Supreme Court comment. She's been attacked too long, too hard to stay bitter - she just keeps rolling, looking for the next coalition.

People are always down on Hillary cause she's not a party girl, not good with crowds. But she's always been a Party girl, and it looks like she sent out enough invites and her Party Crue did the rest. And that's how it should be - It Takes a Village to kick ass. And ass will be kicked, and then real work will be done. Enjoy.
