It's official: Lou Dobbs is insane

I just heard Lou Dobbs refer to ACORN as "the leftist radical group ..."

Like the Weather Underground or Baader-Meinhof!

(In my defence, I wasn't intentionally watching Dobbs. The TV had been tuned to CNN and I wasn't fast enough in turning it off.)

    Comments

Lou Dobbs has become an insufferable ass. He used to be sane, prior to his illegal immigrant crusade, but now, he's utterly sanctimonious and overflowing with anger - I'm sure he'd call it righteous indignation.

Dobbs claims to be populist yet never misses an opportunity to deny Obama has long and well established positions in support of the middle-class. I suspect Dobbs' greater disdain for Obama over McCain has everything to do with Obama having the more liberal position of the two on immigration reform.

I know this item is pretty far downthread by now and nobody much cares. But I was reading Zachary Roth's item on ACORN over at Muckraker.
He quotes Dobbs as calling it "a so-called community left-wing activist group." That's a whole lot milder than what I quoted.
So I went to the transcript of what Dobbs said. A few times he call them "activists." But then:
"Up next: More on ACORN and the Obama campaign's ties to the radical left-wing group. Three of the best political analysts join me."
So I'm NOT nuts; just Lou Dobbs.
