It was less than three years ago that Larry Flynt opened up a Hustler Superstore in my neck o' the woods - an open, brightly-lit shop that agreed with the city's restriction of devoting less than 1/3 of its floor space to the "adult products" (so that it wouldn't have to be in an industrial zone). It wasn't a bad place, but it couldn't compete with the other adult superstore chains in the Valley and closed its doors. The free-standing building sat empty for a few months, and I couldn't help but think about the several ironies that a sign went up announcing the next tenant - a preschool chain!
(On the less serious side: let's see, if a couple purchased "romance" products there at the grand opening and that led to a birth... yep, the timing is right!)
