Congratulations to those on the Left who feel marginalized and abused by Democrats. You and the Tea Party of the Right now have something in common.
Anger is easy. Frustration is natural. Government and politics are not all we would have them be.
So I really can't blame those in the Tea Parties of the Right or Left for feeling that Change isn't coming rapidly enough or in the form some of us thought it would. But frustration and anger is no excuse for stupidity. And that is exactly what the left wing of the Democratic Party and its dislocated independent voters are indulging in.
Bear in mind, these folks are not "true" idiots. They are merely behaving like idiots.
The Left has its reasons for anger and frustration, and they are just as valid as the complaints of the Right--which is to say not nearly valid enough to justify an impulse to toss the baby out with the bathwater. Yet that is precisely what many embittered independents and Democrats have determined they will do.
So let me ask all those in Massachusetts and across the country one simple question:
Would you really be better off now if the Republicans had continued their eight-year reign of ignorance into the present day?
If your answer is "yes," you qualify as a "true" idiot and blind to history. If your answer is "no," then put aside your anger and row in the direction that achieves your destination, even if the going is slow.
Rowing for Republicans is plain stupid.
