Mr. and Mrs. Rove Have Divorced - Now with Video

Karl Rove and his wife of 24 years, Darby, were divorced last week, according to a statement  released by family spokeswoman and former White House spin butler Dana Perrino.

The statement described the divorce as "amicable" and the result of a "mutual" decision, and it asked for the media to respect the couple's privacy.

But the former Mrs. Rove, who retook her maiden name of O'Gill as part of the divorce, said the couple's parting of ways was neither amicable nor mutual.

Darby O'Gill said she was in a mental fog throughout her marriage, which she described as "verbal waterboarding" that she endured only because she was drugged by Mr. Rove for most of the last 25 years.

"One day, he forgot to slip me the Mickey Finn. When I gathered all my faculties, I discovered to my horror that I had been married to Karl Rove for 24 years," she said. "Talk about Darby O'Gill and the 'little' people. He's got the penis of a leprechaun, and I don't mean it's magical."

UPDATE: A new statement from Karl Rove accuses his ex-wife of infidelity, drug abuse, out-of-control spending and being a Communist Muslim Democrat.
