The Bishop and the Butterfly: Murder, Politics, and the End of the Jazz Age

New Obama Ad Slaps McCain Hard — Maybe Too Hard

Obama's new ad "Embrace" is set to start Tuesday on cable channels, according to Time's resident cretin, Mark Halperin.

The new ad calls McCain "Washington's biggest celebrity" and has numerous clips of him hugging Bush and basking in the limelight on SNL and other shows. The background music is cheesy show-biz jazz and the overall feel is quite biting.

I was hoping Obama would respond, but this one seems over the top nasty, albeit 100 percent true.
