Well now, that rascal Brer Fox hated Brer Rabbit on account of he was always cutting capers and bossing everyone around. So Brer Fox decided to capture and kill Brer Rabbit if it was the last thing he ever did! He thought and he thought until he came up with a plan. He would make a tar baby! Brer Fox went and got some tar and he mixed it with some turpentine and he sculpted it into the figure of a cute little baby. Then he stuck a hat on the Tar Baby and sat her in the middle of the road... .

GOP Representative Doug Lamborn from Colorado decided to stir the racial fire in the recent debate over the debt crisis this past weekend. In his remarks about President Obama, Rep. Lamborn said that being associated with President Obama is “like touching a tar baby.”
Lamborn’s remarks (which are in the audio here) came as he was trying to argue that President Obama will take much of the blame for what went wrong during the debt ceiling discussion. Critics on both sides of the aisle have expressed their disappointment in the actions of both President Obama and House Speaker John Boehner.

Alrighty then!
Doug Lamborn, our favorite repub rep says:
SCREW PC!
What the hell is going on here?
Beckerhead in yet another attack on Michelle Obama is all worried about the new Spiderman; the half-Black, half-Gay, half-Hispanic Spiderman.
http://mediamatters.org/mmtv/201108030013
To straighten out the record, Michelle Obama in 2008 at her DNC appearance and
in her appearance last month at the NAACP get together and countless other times has discussed the necessity for cultural and social changes in addition to governmental change. Our First Lady has been underlining the importance of personal responsibility.
Her points are familiar and reflect the values contained in so many repub speeches over the last few decades.
We need to parent our children—not just baby sit them.
We need to instill values in our children; the value of study, the value of sobriety, the value of good nutrition...and so forth.
Beckerhead turns this all into a conspiracy to turn our heroes into hybrids; cross breeds that will destroy our white culture.
He barely hides it anymore and he discovered that if you begin each discussion with your love of MLK, all will somehow be forgiven.
http://blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2010/07/michelle_obama_in_naacp_speech.html
Now rush will constantly talk about the size of Michelle Obama's butt. This would be like an elephant laughing it up over the size of a robin's belly.
First of all, Michelle is in good shape; just like her hubby and her children.
Secondly, one third of our kids are obese and headed for diabetes and heart problems and...
Thirdly, Michelle has two degrees from our finest universities and rush barely finished high school.
Finally, and this might sound sexist, but you can bet that rush has never had the opportunity to touch that kind of stuff—if you know what I mean. No woman who ever made it with that fat fuck could ever come close to the beauty, the style, the grace or the intelligence of Michelle Obama!
Enough of that, but this freaked me out:
I am not going to apologize for Barack the Magic Negro...we am going to play that freakin song again today!
THEY are just getting bolder.
Let us not forget that wonderful representative from Iowa:
Obama favors Blacks over Whites!
And in the Pigford Settlement, Steve King claimed that all the money would go to drug users and welfare pigs.
And of course, let us not forget Pat (Hitler was not all wrong, in fact he was mostly right) Buchanan who seems to think that the NAZI terrorist in Norway had some good points to make.
I have written scores of blogs on Pat (THE NAZI) Buchanan and how he would have backed Hitler in WWII and how come segregation in DC was a good thing and how all Civil Rights Legislation was communist inspired, how MLK was a terrorist commie whatever....
Mediamatters does kind of a good job covering this angle:
http://mediamatters.org/blog/201108020025
The Norway slur is a particularly sore subject for me. The same Labor Party in Norway that beckerhead and Pat (the I do not like the revolting peasants; especially if they are are Black or Hispanic or women or Jews or ….) Buchannan attack were the driving force behind the Norwegians who fought the forces of Hitler whilst the Swedes claimed to be Swiss!
There is a new boldness out there folks.
There is a new expression; a new freedom of expression with regard to our racial bias that I have not seen in decades.
Sure, there is political correctness.
You know Harry Truman would use the word Nigger.
But Harry Truman was from a different era; like Mark Twain.
And Harry Truman probably signed the most important executive order in a hundred years when he dictated that the Armed Forces be desegregated.
We are human beings and we make mistakes. And we are forced to live within our cultural bounds.
But we have to try harder!
When I seen an elephant fly...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dG9wRAVhBjk
What if the republican elephant learned to fly--to soar with the eagles instead of lie in the squallor with the pigs?
Did you ever see an elephant fly?) (Well, I seen a horsefly) (And I seen a dragonfly) (Yeah, I seen a housefly) (Ha-ha-ha-ha) Yeah, I seen all that too... I seen a peanut stand, heard a rubber band I seen a needle that winked its eye But I be done seen 'bout ev'rything When I see a elephant fly (What d'you say, boy?) I said when I see a elephant fly I seen a front porch swing, heard a diamond ring I seen a polka-dot railroad tie But I be done seen 'bout ev'rything When I see a elephant fly (I saw a clothes horse, he r'ar up and buck) (And they tell me that a man made a vegetable truck) (I didn't see that, I only heard) (But just to be sociable, I'll take your word) (I heard a fireside chat, I saw a baseball bat) (And I just laughed till I thought I'd die) But I be done seen 'bout ev'rything When I see a elephant fly Well I be done seen 'bout ev'rything When I see a elephant fly (With the wings) When I see an elephant fly

It's going to be tough times ahead, so any laughter will be good.
A time to laugh........., a time to cry.
Remember "America Held Hostage", brought down Carter I hope people associate the Tea Party in the same manner.
I suppose they've gerrymandered themselves safe districts?
by Resistance on Wed, 08/03/2011 - 9:03pm
DickDay what can I say. The Tea Party is simply the same old white racist pricks that went ballistic when Johnson signed the civil rights act. They are just wearing different clothes this time. Guess they got tired of the white sheets.
Tea Party patriots ? In a pigs eye !
by cmaukonen on Wed, 08/03/2011 - 9:13pm
C-George Wallace would have relished in this new movement prior to his disavowel.
Oh yes, this is nothing new.
The only thing new about all this is the bravado of the new racism!
by Richard Day on Wed, 08/03/2011 - 9:19pm
Why associate them with pigs?
How about maggots, they stink and they live off of the dead and dying?
by Resistance on Thu, 08/04/2011 - 12:49am
In a maggot's eye just doesn't have the same ring to it.
by cmaukonen on Thu, 08/04/2011 - 9:13am
How about "in a maggot's anus!"

"Beckerhead ... is all worried about the new Spiderman; the half-Black, half-Gay, half-Hispanic Spiderman."
Who isn't? Pedro (O. Dorothy) Parker does indeed sound worrisome. Will Spiderman's arch-nemesis now be the Green-Card Goblin? Will Pedro cash his Aunt Maria's welfare check to pay for some bling for his Spidey outfit? Will he lecture the new Super Congress telling them, "With great power comes great responsibility?" And will his true love, M.J. become a Vietnamese transexual junkie? That would be almost as stunning a turn of events as when Captain America became a homosexual. So, maybe Beckerhead isn't as crazy as ... (At this point, MrSmith1 is so convulsed with laughter at the mere thought behind what he's writing , he can't finish typing the sentence.)
When I first heard the story about the tarbaby reference, I thought, well technically, the politician did use the term properly, so maybe he's just an idiot and didn't understand the context of the term. But the more I put his use of the term in context, the more I remembered how this is just another in a series of 'innocent' references used as code words against the black man in the White House, and the more outraged I became.
by MrSmith1 on Thu, 08/04/2011 - 12:18am
Yup.
That there aint no accident.
These racist pigs know exactly what they are doing!
by Richard Day on Thu, 08/04/2011 - 12:35am
Hey Dd. I heard about this and tried not to think about it as there is so much to be disgusted by and not much I can do about it.
I think that somebody has to start hitting the bullies back and knocking them down so they get that we aren't going to take it any more. I just hope there is a way that can happen and soon!
The nut jobs are getting too much power and the media is spinning our politics for us so it makes it all seem every day now when a congressman behaves in a way that should have him seriously reprimanded or censured.
I heard today that approval rating for congress is 11% which may be the lowest ever.
(Hope you are doing well:)

Oh I hope you are doing well also!
There is mediamatters which keeps watch but most of their findings are ignored even by MSNBC.
I was just at mm this morning and rush and beckerhead and fox are all at it again.
It is always fun to raise a fuss about it; underline it; point it out.
