    YAHOO!

Nothin else is going on here except for five or six good blogs that are at least a day old. Except for Hal of course, whom I admire.

    Anyway...

First, I lose all my emails on Yahoo.

Second, a few days later Yahoo sends some apology to me via email Well, we are sorry but you lost all your emails.

Third, the last few days, my email account does not work very well.

Right now my email account does not work at all.

The only purpose of this blog is to ask if others are having problems with Yahoo?

    That is it.

I mean I just got onto Facebook and I was invited to this Atheist thingy and even though I am agnostic I thought, okay. I am anti-theist. Then I laughed out loud (I laugh and talk to myself out loud all the time!) because I was accepted into this Atheist thingy. Even though I never accepted. hahahah

But I cannot respond, because I HAVE NO EMAIL.

    hahahahah

Look, if you are on Yahoo, have you experienced strange things lately?

    That is it.

    Comments

It's been years since I used a Yahoo email account.

I recommend switching to gmail from Google. In the many years I have had one of their accounts, they have never lost emails and most of the spam emails that want a body to read are eliminated before they reach your inbox.

    gmail.com .... it's what's for dinner. yes

Flower, I actually have a Gmail account, somewhere, I just have to look and then change everything. hahahahah

Anyway, here is another circus of the absurd if you happened to have missed it:

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/06/11/florida-adoption-bill_n_7565046.html

I'm okay. I save my kids pix somewhere, as soon as I can find the damn things. hahahahah

You realize of course, that my first chance at an IBM typewriter was WONDERFUL. hahahah

When the Scarlett Letter Bill was passed the shit hit the fan fast.  By the way Rubio was Speaker of the Florida House at the time. Between the 2 of them they turned this state into a mess over night.

It didn't take the lawyers long to get that bill into court because people could not adopt babies. Foster care became a mess over night.

I had forgotten all about that bill until I saw it in HufPo. Jebby signed the stand your ground law also. JEB really was a lousy Gov. He still is rated bad even with Rick Scott taking the trophy from him.

    I do not like Jeb.

He is one of these satans who seems so reasonable....and yet he is still Satan!

Life is hard most of the time.

But why attack unwed mothers? What about unwed fathers?

Biology sets up walls, I guess?

But at least we can protest about those who control our lives!

Jeb is just another corporate prick!

    the end

Let me go check my yahoo email. I don't use it too much except for quilting. They do have their problems from time to time.

Back now and all 13333 messages are still there with no notice of any problems. I have only had this yahoo account since 1996 when K-mart offered it as a free ISP. I had a separate dial up modem for my computer and I would listen to is beep until it sounded like old military signal equipment did when it connected. I had more fun fiddling with that junk.  Then I got windows 95 and the compu serve but still enjoyed my yahoo email and groups.

I should have saved my Yahoo for quilting.

    hahahahahaha

I just checked and only 14 spam.  I use their flickr and I follow some great quilters that post pictures on flickr.  I use flickr to post pictures here at dag too.  That is the main reason I keep yahoo.

I won't tell you to take up quilting,  I already got you in enough trouble this week with facebook.

Just use my avatar name and you can reach me at yahoo email.

Momoe, for heaven's sake, you did not get me in trouble with Facebook.

    I kind of like it.

    Hermes, the Messenger God.

No, and as soon as I figure the damned thing out there are friends I have not communicated to for a long long time.

and I love your quilting, and sometime I will tell about Grandma teaching me to quilt over half a century ago. My mama was spending too much on booze so Grandma made me a sleeping bag from a quilt.hahahah

Anyway, Yahoo had told me that the entire system had experienced some glitch. It just does not work right now.

And Salon does not work very well and neither does TPM. but this has to do with Windows 8 or my PC.

    All is gooooooooooood.

    AND SO TO BED.

    hahahah

I say go with Gmail.Haven't any problems and I hear about Yahoo problems all the time. Probably because they have bee pushed to the side (can't remember when I got an email from someone with a yahoo account) and so probably have cut their staff to nothng.

    You are probably right Trope.

I recall that I became enraged years ago (like that is something new) and set up the Gmail account.

But damn, I have to change my email with my bank and my children and NYT  and Hulu and....

Anyway, we shall see how it goes.

    hahahahah

I am laughing because I asked for help and there is NO ONE DEFENDING YAHOO. hahahah

I mean, so far, nobody likes Yahoo. hahahah

My Spondyville support group has roots going back to an AOL message board in 1995.  In those days, AOL was a pay site.  In 2001, as demand for our chats increased, I decided to move the group's message board and chat room to where people could have free access to it; Yahoo Groups.  The Spondyville message board has been there ever since.  In the beginning, it was wonderful, now it really really sucks.  I keep the message board / support group up and running on Yahoo even though it has far outlasted its practicality and usefulness, because I'm sentimental and like the link to the past that this message board represents.  It pre-dates almost all AS-related message boards and support groups on the internet, including the Spondylitis Association of America.  Unfortunately, Yahoo Groups is now so completely awful to use that few people, myself included even bother to use it.  Few people even know it's there.  Most of the things I post now regarding Spondyville are posted on its Facebook page.   I hate what Yahoo has become.  It stinks big-time.  The End.

    Oh Mr. Smith.

You are so important to me.

    No kidding.

    I shall change.

Like it is sooooooooo hard compared to not changing.

    You just convinced me.

    Gmail shall prevail.

How in the hell would I ever disagree with this type of message?

    Well done.

    Spondyville shall prevail.

    Well done.

I have some work to do, but what the hell? The work has so much less to do with what you have been through and your message. Okay

    I do not like change.

But damn, How do I see that change is all we got?

    You are a good man

That is all I got tonite.

I've had no problems with gmail at all.  I've been using it since the days when you had to be invited to use it.   I like it because I have two gmail email accounts and one Yahoo account and I've set it up so I can read them all (and answer them under their own account names) on my main gmail page.  It's a great spam-catcher, too.

My hub lost all his emails, thousands of them - all neatly filed by subject matter. Then they reappeared as new messages in no date order. Seriously. Thousands, all at the same time. I thought he might kill himself. He spent who knows how many hours trying to refile them, then switched to g-mail.

I know hope is not a plan, but I "hope" it doesn't happen to me. If it does, at least mine are not critical, because I have very little responsibility these days, at least not as far as paperwork is concerned.

    Hi Stilli

I think Ramona had the best answer.

Use Yahoo and Gmail and categorize?

Mr. Smith is so damned mad at Yahoo, and I understand what he is talking about.

Although it hits me that if we lobby Yahoo, we might shake out some charity funds from this monolith.

I keep thinking about this option.

Yeah, Yahoo screwed your husband and I lost all these emails.

But I bet that you all had back-up with some 500 gig tool, like I do.

Otherwise, back-up all your memory with devices.

    That is all I got.

Except that I have this photo back up thingy, I have a back-up given to me by a deceased friend and I promised Mr. Smith I would explore Gmail.

Oh and attempt to write to Yahoo!

Years have passed, but you taught one of your lovlies the ABC's and numeration.

    How is she doing?

She's going into 5th grade and reads at a high school level. Her nose is almost always in a book. The biggest thing is that we have a hard time finding things that are age appropriate at her reading level. The 2 seven year olds, are also reading well (although they rarely do it on their own) but they both like math while the oldest does not. Thanks for asking, and for remembering!
