How many outfits will Lady Bey wear?
How many numbers will Destiny's Child perform?
Will Jay-Z make a cameo?
Let's discuss America's most important cultural moment of 2013.
Comments
This has been a great discussion of an important issue. We can conclude that:
Best Halftime Show Of All Tine: Prince
Second Best: Paul McCartney
Third Best: Lady Bey (needed a Jay-z duet to beat Paul.
Fourth Best: Madonna. Yes, she's an icon but the cheerleader song is Ke$haesque.

Sorry, I'm watching "American Pickers". They're in the U.P taking advantage of the Yoopers.
I love Beyonce. She can do no wrong. MHO.

I watched Downton, too, and then I watched it again. Was there something going on in the realm of football tonight?

Money wise, who had the most to gain, by pulling the plug at the game?

The S.O. notified me when it was on so I could watch; I couldn't stand to sit all the way through it. If a routine like that is the best American pop culture has to offer right now, we are following in the steps of the Roman Empire. Just pitiful, an old tired empowered ho's vs. pimps routine, would have been new-ish in 1978.
Black leather and lace ho costumes with big hair? Puhleez, it's 2013. I dare say there was probably a couple vastly more innovative pop culture shows in Las Vegas going on at the same time she was performing.
The woman has the most magnificent set of pipes anyone has seen in decades, but seriously needs a new artistic director, someone to push her envelope. In an age when everyone has seen and can comprehend something like Cirque du Soleil, this is the best our pop culture has to offer in extravaganza? Tired old cliches? Smoke machines?
I found it incredibly depressing and left before it was finished to continue sorting my recycling. (When back in my chair after some other chores, I turned on the The Walking Dead rerun marathon, which I enjoyed immensely--thanks to Articleman for the recommend with his post eons ago.)
Her singing of the national anthem at the inauguration made this performance by comparison weak gruel indeed. (I care little about lip syncing or not, a voice is a voice whether recorded or not, a performance is when the performer is there performing, and our age is one of automation, so perhaps I even prefer lip syncing.)
She is capable of so much more.
P.S. I would like to add the Baltimore uniforms seemed to me to have much more 2013 style than Beyonce's costumes, and several members had more modern hair styles than Beyonce as well. Overall, seemed like they had much better American contemporary pop culture stylings....

Fantastic, AA. May Queen Bey forgive you.
Loved this, only you or Gertrude Stein would have said it:
