An aside about what would inspire someone to post Christmas music in the middle of February: an older black man approached me today while humming Christmas tunes in the middle of February. He then proceeded to talk about the end times.
During the last few years, I've been following Jonah Goldberg's Twitter feed. Many years ago, I saw him speak when I interned with the Heritage Foundation in Washington D.C. It was clear that the man thought at the time that he was at the forefront of conservatism but his Twitter feed now conveys a different feeling.
This is a bit more conservative than likely the taste of many Dagbloggers. However, it's a pretty accurate portrayal of the declining communities that may not have bankrolled and funded the rise of Trump, but certainly yelled, smashed things and voted on his behalf.
Cable news can be a bit of constant feedback, but I found this clip very jarring. The guest tells Joe Scarborough that, unlike Richard Nixon, there appears to be little regret or sorrow about this situation in Donald Trump and, due to that, there is nearly no sympathy for him. He is now in a bizarre situation in which he will be branded for the rest of his life and banned from sending money, sending e-mails or doing a number of things that even people in prison can do.
[reposted - I'm uncomfortable with the ease of accusations re: Nazi behavior without any proof, as with plagiarism and other accusations, but it's a beautiful story, and to me highlights the fickleness of fate and science, especially during wartime - we know of 1 German Nobel denied to a Jewish woman, Lise Meitner, who had to go into exile, but also there can be normal academic jealousies and sparring and other petty human behavior among our better natures, along with just plain bad luck or not enough promotion.-PP]
A huge objective of the Nazis was to co-opt Jewish ideas and make them Aryan, hence the very term National Socialism. Hans Asperger was no exception and his fatal assessment of socially adverse youth was simply a weaponized copy of Jewish child psychiatrist Grunya Sukhareva's ideas.
Donald Trump's rampaging Twitter feed might have put a bad taste in people's mouth as far as politicians and public figures on social media go. However, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez seems to actually get the concept of using social media platforms to reach out to people in a constructive way. She took the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine and documented it herself via photos and texts. This is taken from Elle:
