While most people spent election night watching the outcome of SB5 Ohio, I watched the election happenings in Maine. 1980 was a big year for me personally. It was the first time I’d lived in the United States since I was a small child. I went to boarding school for my senior year of high school; my parents really thought I should know what it is like to be in America, to go to school in America and to learn to be an American. Boarding school… well that is a whole other story, but yes I ended up in Maine in boarding school and it was my first taste of living in the US for many years, I’d always been an expatriate, I was about to be something else.

Oakland cops are notorious for being over-the-top thugs. If you are from the west coast and you've spend any time in California at all, you know this.

Cops aren't doing themselves any favors with these kinds of actions and they aren't doing our society any favors by choosing extreme violence to deal with non-violent protesters.

This is what I caught on the boob tube just moments ago. The unknown woman's attorney, Joel Bennett, specifically states that whatever Mr. Cain did, it was more than one incident. The woman will not be talking to the public and her attorney will not disclose how much the woman received.

She was apprehensive sitting there at the café waiting for him. She hadn’t heard from him in 22 years, in fact it was 22 years to the day that he called her and asked her to come be with him. Sometimes things just don’t work out the way you plan them though, she couldn’t, she had made a commitment, she had a family, she wanted to be with him, they’d been together so many years before, but when he left her those many years before, she had to move on, it was a different time.

One thing we know for sure, Ron Paul hates the government, according to him it can't do anything right, which is why he has spent so many years in government... err I think. He's been in congress since 1976! And he says government doesn't work, well maybe that is because he participated in making sure government is dysfunctional and by defunding everything he can, he will continue to assure its dysfunction. How many guys in congress are just like him, and how does he get away with saying this stuff.

Herb Cain has a 9-9-9 plan and he became target numero uno at the GOP debate, Cowboy Style. You knew the group would be all in on going after Herb's 9-9-9 plan. Cain's plan has been all the rage as of late with the punditry crowd and the blogging world. These are the people, (yes like me) who keep Herb in the spotlight. Although his 15 minutes may be up quickly or maybe not.

We are providing a permit for protest activities at Westlake Park which will allow them to have an organizing tent that can remain overnight. As a condition of the permit, protestors will have to allow for cleaning of the park, protect park property, accommodate the other existing permitted events, and protect access to businesses.

What are we going to do since the cost of education is skyrocketing? Students these days graduate with enormous debt or they don't get the opportunity to attend post secondary training.

Long ago when I started college it was an inexpensive 1200.00 a year that included books. I didn't really have debt when I graduated from college. That isn't the case for students today, and with the cost of tuition rising as much as 20% in one year at some state colleges, soon enough the middle and lower classes will be unable to afford post-secondary education. And the thing is, we'd become a thriving first world nation in part because we expanded access to education to almost everyone.

And that is how it began, that fateful day in 1984 was the day I decided to infiltrate the Democratic party and turn them all into Liberal Republicans! I knew I could do it if I could just find a way to fit in first, to blend in, so I went to the doctor's office for some help.
