ROCHESTER, Mich. – Police are searching for two armed suspects on the Oakland University campus and the university is urging everyone to remain indoors.

Several cars were stolen early Monday morning from a car dealership in Grand Blanc Township. One of the stolen vehicles crashed on a ramp from southbound I-75 to Joslyn Road in Auburn Hills, the crash was fatal.

The Joslyn Road crash happened about 25 miles away from where the vehicles were originally stolen.

Police had South Adams Road near Walton Boulevard blocked off early Monday morning. They said two people abandoned a stolen vehicle near the Oakland University campus and fled.

Students and people who live in the area are being told to shelter in place as police search for the two suspects.

Police believe the suspects are in or around the Meadow Brook Amphitheatre [.....]

25 law enforcement recruits hit by wrong-way driver in South Whittier; 5 critically injured

A wrong-way driver plowed into a group of law enforcement recruits while they were jogging in South Whittier Wednesday morning, injuring 25 recruits, five of them critically.

The driver was also hurt.

The collision occurred around 6:25 a.m. near the intersection of Mills Avenue and Telegraph Road, just a short distance from Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s STAR Explore Training Academy.

The class of recruits included 75 people, 65 from the Sheriff’s Department and 10 from other law enforcement agencies, including the Bell, Glendale, Pasadena, El Segundo and UCLA police departments.

Though Fire Department officials at first said 23 total people were injured, 22 of them recruits, Sheriff Alex Villanueva later put the number of injured cadets at 25. Of those 25, 20 were from the LASD, 2 were from Bell, 2 were from Glendale and one was from Pasadena.

Five of the recruits were critically injured, four were moderately injured and 16 cadets sustained minor injuries, Villanueva said.

Injuries ranged from head trauma to broken bones and loss of limbs, the sheriff noted, adding that one recruit is on a ventilator. [....]

compare Colorado Springs or Denver or the Uvalde shooter for that matter or even the July 4 Parade in Illinois or Parkland or Sandy Hook or myriad other mass shootings. If you are going to have such free access to guns, you simply have to give up other civil rights and have police arrest and prosecute people who have threatened but have't done anything yet based on "warning signs." When was the last time we had a plane hijacking or a presidential assassination? That's because threats aren't allowed in either instance! People are prosecuted for even joking about it. It's real expensive in manpower to follow and judge threat leads, and many civil rights mistakes will be made, but if you are going to let everyone have weapons of mass destruction if they want them, that's the price you pay to have other niceties of civilization.

A gun suspect led cops on a wild chase Sunday – running lights, driving the wrong way on a one-way street and striking several vehicles – before he was busted, cops said.

The troubling incident began around 12:20 a.m. at Atlantic and Pennsylvania avenues in Cypress Hills when police tried to pull over a gray Dodge Ram with Georgia plates, police said.

The officers were in the area because they had information that a shooting might occur there, police sources said.....

There were six people in the vehicle, the sources said.

Dominuge Tombeau, 21, was in possession of a key to a lockbox in the vehicle where cops found a defaced .9mm Taurus pistol, cops said. He was charged with criminal possession of a loaded firearm, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless driving, cops said.

He has 15 prior arrests – four for gun charges and three for resisting arrest, police sources said. He also has three robberies on his record, the sources said.

In one case I’m aware of, the rideshare driver said he was put in his trunk as the robbers drove around robbing ppl.
They stole the Jordan sneakers off his feet and left him in the trunk when they were done.
