Rielle Hunter in GQ - it's official, the U.S. is Italy

In short order, the U.S. has moved up into the rarefied air of Italy when it comes to political lasciviousness. Rielle Hunter makes her entry into the goo at GQ:

I, for one, welcome our new Roman overlords.

I don't know. I think Italy is the one trying to keep up with us. I feel that we invented the idea of getting into our politicians' private lives. It's just that their politicians have more, um, interesting private lives.

Love the lascivious cropping on this photo, drawing the eye to the big empty space on the bed next to Rielle. All that's missing is the caption "This space for rent."

Welcome to Casa Berlusconi. Tip everyone you see.

(But as for Hunter ... I blame Bret Easton Ellis, who gave her her first taste of semi-hemi-demi-fame. And of course, I blame him for being Bret Easton Ellis.)
