BARRE, Vt. —Every person in the more than 1,000 cars at the Knapp State Airport in Berlin had a different reason why they were there Friday morning. "I got here around 3:30 in the morning," said one man. "We were here at 5:30 this morning," said Michele Miller. "With the income being so low and the food prices going up higher, it's hard." "This is not only going to help my family but thousands of other families," said Brooklyn Burnell. "This is a tough time for Vermonters," said Adjutant General Gregory Knight with the Vermont National Guard. The Vermont National Guard was helping out with the state's first of many Farmers to Families Food Box Distribution efforts."We're happy to be here and hopefully mitigate some of that need," said Knight.[....]
