I have family in Eureka. Reports include power outages across Humboldt County, broken gas lines, roads and bridges damaged, other damage still being assessed. The scene is a "chaotic mess."#HumboldtEarthquakehttps://t.co/rqOyoL204L

"Widespread Damage" After Powerful M6.4 Earthquake Hits California's Humboldt County Region https://t.co/OkIH1KIYA4 via @YouTube
Located on the "#Mendocino Triple Junction", the fracture zone runs roughly 260km, dividing the Pacific and Juan de Fuca plates, and is where the #Cascadia SZ and #SanAndreas meet.
The #earthquake chatter makes this a good time to remind everyone that the USA is in imminent danger from a Cascadia subduction zone earthquake that could completely destroy the Pacific Northwest.
