Well we are now living through a major worldwide pandemic, you know. As in: 1918 Influenza, Black Death, Bubonic Plague, etc; very arguably worse than smallpox or polio epidemics. We're all just trying hard to pretend things are like they were 10 years ago, but they're not. Perhaps people who cannot disassociate like that are the ones suffering the most mentally?
