British Prime Minister Liz Truss and French President Emmanuel Macron held a meeting on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly in New York, September 20, 2022.
The two leaders were meeting face to face for the first time and just weeks after Truss questioned whether Paris was a friend or foe. Relations between the two powers have been difficult since Britain left the European Union.
President Emmanuel Macron of France, in a UN address on Tuesday, called the Russian invasion of Ukraine a return to "imperialism," delivering some of his strongest remarks against the conflict. https://t.co/aTUACVcmiHpic.twitter.com/4RzVtmvxb4
