I talked to Steven Manzo in late March, just after he lost his job at a Michigan bar.

2 weeks later he died of a drug overdose, his first relapse in years.

1 point that's been made, but poorly, Is there are a lot of collateral deaths due to shutdown. In a responsible country, we might have shut down, worn masks & self-distance, And then open quicker but carefully, knowing in many places the closures wiill caused suicides and deaths from lack of care fór other medical conditions, domestic abuse, etc. Sweden's taken a lot of shit fór their 5000 dead testing her immunity, but the extra 4000 or so might be close to the collateral deaths and lives ruined.

Except in the US we're making it 500,000 deaths or more from infections and stupidity, So Its not apples to apples.
