The word is BRAZEN and sure as hell sounds like Philly police have lost most of their power to strike fear into those who think they are above U.S. law and even god's law:
Wouldn't be surprised to learn their guns are bigger and more powerful than those of the cops. I certainly would not want anyone like those two suspects free in my neighborhood and don't know anyone who would.

Seattle P.D. also got a hatchet from a guy who was stabbed in a 10-person brawl in downtown Seattle in the wee hours. They didn't tweet a picture of it, though! (Apparently it's the practice to just hold brawls downtown there, no nightclub needed?)

Southeast D.C. was a war zone today, so much so that I got confused by all the reports. Ken here straightened it all out for me:
But the 10th Place shooting of a women turned out to be a:female Special Police Officer shot dead, that was not known until after next of kin were notified.
Also, original reporting was that only 3 were shot on Albama Ave.; that's been corrected to 5, adding to the confusion.

The kids are NOT allright! The good ones have to be protected from the ones doing this, or they'll never get over it! That means "lock em up", like it or not. People have to come to grips with the fact that psychologists and social workers can't fix this but for 1 out of 100 and in the meantime it's so highly contagious in all kinds of ways.

First the cops on site and their supporting staff, their equipment use, and all the followup work.
Then the D.A. and the public defender hours and all their staff.
Then we got EMS, the medical teams at the E.R., the inpatient care, the outpatient care and finally yes, the social workers, because sure as shooting (pun intended) these guys don't even have Obamacare or Medicaid, so a social worker is going to come round at the hospital before discharge to start the process of accessing it for the sure as shooting major unpaid bills
And GUESS WHO IS GOING TO BE PAYING ALL THIS MONEY FOR THESE S.O.B.'s FUN LITTLE SUN. NITE SHOOT EM UP? (Or if you prefer, their recreation of a scene from Apocalypse Now)
Oh I forgot: there's also their upkeep in jail and prison and the staff time that requires.
