Very sad. A little over a decade ago, I was quite impressed (in a drive all around visit) with the town itself away from the tacky border tourist biz. It seemed a very alive and promising struggling class multi-culti town where people from many different tribes from allover Mexico came to get work and mingle. It struck me like: globalization without the decadence of the rich.
