I heard from a friend, artappraiser, that this was actually promoted and funded by Vice Magazine. Vice is pretty influential in addition to being a totally insane magazine - this is in line with their thought process.
Anyway - the point of that comment is that North Korea usually lets journalists in no problem.

Thanks, but I knew, there was an article reporting on topic at length in NYT Business section: Daredevil Media Outlet Behind Rodman’s Trip.
Anyhew, they didn't appear to do much good, as today we have the same old shit: North Korea threatens to strike U.S. amid new UN sanctions. Dennis needs to call his new friend- -for-life, splain some things to him about continuation of basketball requiring a nuke-free environment.
