This Congress will work for bold action to reduce carbon pollution and create millions of jobs in the new clean energy economy.#EarthDayhttps://t.co/SNL4gs11mt
seems like nearly every congressperson did at least one Earth Day tweet, here's just a few:
Climate related disasters have displaced an average of 20 million people each year over the past decade. As the climate crisis worsens this number will only continue to rise. We must establish a national strategy to address this crisis & support climate-displaced persons. pic.twitter.com/sVoGFlMI6w
Thank you @GretaThunberg for testifying before the House Oversight Environment Subcommittee today and for answering my questions about how we can both protect the environment & create jobs. As you said, “climate justice is social justice.” pic.twitter.com/kRVNGZxh39

Here’s a friendly reminder from this morning’s committee hearing that investing in sustainable energy sources now makes more financial sense than spending billions to repair fossil fuel infrastructure after each climate disaster. pic.twitter.com/EsLoNqlQ2K
