Normally my spin alarm goes off when I see such language, but it's coming from a specialist in ethics here:

I don't know why we're being soft on terror - we know the children being held there are the worst of the worst. Show mercy now and we might as well be giving Osama bin Laden a free carpet ride into New York.

PS - looking forward to the year's Miss America where for the first time "I want to help children" will be verboten.
