The Department of Justice announced that it will no longer tolerate the use of private prisons run by the Penal Industry.
THIS IS A BIG DEAL TO ME.

States must follow this lead.
Paying prison guards eight bucks an hour without health insurance and without proper vetting and without pensions and without hope, is not a gooooooooooood idea, in my mind at least.
Again, this is a big deal.

Whenever Conservatives talk about corporations replacing government jobs, we should be skeptical. The horrible results in private prisons should make us revisit the claims made by charter schools.
