[...] Pentecost was the event recounted in the Book of Acts, when the Holy Spirit was poured out over a gathering in Jerusalem of disciples of Jesus several weeks after his disappearance from this world; the three stories in the Tablet issue deal with people who believe that this outpouring, with all the miraculous signs reported in the New Testament, is continuing with great force today.
