Our anthem after all, celebrates our victory over their efforts in 1812! This is the kind of not just tolerance but "bygones be bygones" we sorely need right now.

Also makes me think about the greatest argument for our global dominance and their past success at global dominance is that English is the world's dominant language, a simply amazing thing especially if you think of the language growing out of a single small island!
