When they rely on an engineering joint venture with Leonardo S.p.A., an Italian global high-tech company they're bound to end up with ships that find the bottom of the sea. After all, not one Italian ship remained afloat after the big war.

Not true, they had one upside down boat on exhibit in some port city. And Fiat was pretty innovative for the times. - they had one tank with one forward gear and 4 in reverse - Yanks had to chase them all the way up the peninsula.
