all those people voting against Trump for prez but for local GOP downticket didn't help this situation at all.
I don't think it helped for so many to be protesting against Dem mayors in blue cities most of the year, what that said to swings: liberals are never going to be happy even if we vote in Democrats, might as well go with the low tax and "tough on crime" guy. So now GOP is still in charge of redistricting in many states again.
Marjorie Taylor Greene is such a train wreck that she somehow took the heat off of Lauren Boebert, who actually gave terrorists advance tours of the insurrection site.
Black Hollywood producer who backed Greene thinks she has gone too far
He’s written a book about “God’s Plan” inspired by Donald Trump and donated thousands to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s campaign and a political action committee that supports her. But now one of the conspiracy-loving Georgia Republican’s big-dollar donors is turning his back on her.
Alander Pulliam, a Los Angeles-based producer behind the forthcoming ’90s TV spinoffs Family Still Matters and Black Rugrats, says he initially supported Greene but that the QAnon-friendly congresswoman, who drafted articles of impeachment for President Joe Biden the day he took office, has gone too far.
“Once Trump left office and Joe Biden came in, at that moment you should’ve moved on and let it go,” Pulliam told The Daily Beast in an interview. “It’s like a temper tantrum and I don’t want to be a part of someone throwing a temper tantrum. Let it go, move on, grow up. You’re a grown woman.”
According to Mr Robertson's prophecy, a Trump victory would lead to chaos and turmoil followed by a period of peace instigated by God.
And the re-election, he claimed, would set in motion events that would lead to the Biblical End Time.
He has since changed his mind, even urging Mr Trump not to consider another election bid in 2024 - a surprising u-turn on his apocalyptic message months earlier.
Deuteronomy 18:20-22, for instance, make its clear prophets speak on behalf of God and any prophet who does not honestly and accurately convey the message of God does so at the risk of divine judgement.
I know that many object to quoting scripture, but I think that it is important in this case. Prophets in Christian tradition have to be correct 100% of the time. Those who get 1 thing wrong are, by definition, false prophets. Those who predicted a Trump victory are liars.
On the issue of the end times coming, Pat Robertson is 90 years old, so his prediction may be true on a personal level.
Biden admin.: Just say no to culture warring via conspiracy theories:
Jen Psaki on her refusal to comment on Marjorie Taylor Greene: "We don't want to elevate conspiracy theories further in the briefing room, so I'm going to leave it at that."
Psaki displays great skill using this dismissal of a provocateur as a clear warning to those assembled what would happen if someone were to "elevate" matters too strenuously in the briefing room. The blade stays in the scabbard.
I've been calling it "playing Psakisack", toyful "Psakibashing" or the Lucy/Peanuts-inspired "Psakiatrist is in" for the journo huddle. Will look for something a bit more Eastern/Kill Bill.
Rep. Cori Bush moves her office away from near Greene's location
Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) tweeted Friday that she’s moving her office away from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) after the QAnon-supporting congresswoman berated her in a hallway while not wearing a mask. “A maskless Marjorie Taylor Greene & her staff berated me in a hallway. She targeted me & others on social media,” Bush tweeted. “I’m moving my office away from hers for my team’s safety. I’ve called for the expulsion of members who incited the insurrection from Day 1. Bring H.Res 25 to a vote.”
Hah.Strikes me that making her a pariah is the way to go. Once that sinks in with her constituency, that no one wants to be associated with her or listen to what she says, it would be easier to expel her without as much blowback from them. Just truly a troll without even Trump's skills. She doesn't say like he does that QAnon are nice people because they support her, she's not just humoring them, she IS a full-blown Qanon nut; there is a difference!
Since yesterday morning, Marjorie Taylor Greene has only been mentioned 3 times on Fox News -- two of those times were by liberal pundits where the host quickly cut them off.
Today, based on a TVeyes transcript search, Fox has yet to mention her. https://t.co/w1eOEKUaMi
Greene supports carrying weapons on the House floor
A NYT article reminding of the days days when weapons were carried on the floor of Congress
New Haven
THE announcement that Representatives Heath Shuler of North Carolina and Jason Chaffetz of Utah are planning to wear guns in their home districts has surprised many, but in fact the United States has had armed congressmen before. In the rough-and-tumble Congress of the 1830s, 1840s and 1850s, politicians regularly wore weapons on the House and Senate floors, and sometimes used them.
During one 1836 melee in the House, a witness observed representatives with “pistols in hand.” In a committee hearing that same year, one House member became so enraged at the testimony of a witness that he reached for his gun; when the terrified witness refused to return, he was brought before the House on a charge of contempt.
Perhaps most dramatic of all, during a debate in 1850, Senator Henry Foote of Mississippi pulled a pistol on Senator Thomas Hart Benton of Missouri. (Someone eventually took it from his hand.) Foote had decided in advance that if he felt threatened, he would grab his gun and run for the aisle in the hope that stray shots wouldn’t hit bystanders.
Most famously, in 1856, Representative Preston Brooks of South Carolina caned Senator Charles Sumner of Massachusetts on the Senate floor so brutally that Sumner had to be virtually carried from the chamber and did not retake his seat for three years. Clearly, wielded with brute force, a cane could be a potent weapon.
By the 1850s, violence was common in Washington. Not long after Sumner’s caning, a magazine told the story of a Michigan judge who traveled by train to the nation’s capital: “As he entered the main hall of the depot, he saw a man engaged in caning another ferociously, all over the room. ‘When I saw this,’ says the judge, ‘I knew I was in Washington.’”
It’s going to be awkward when Jared’s and Ivanka’s kids have their Bnai Mitzvah and grandpa Donald insists on inviting Marjorie Taylor Greene and his comrades in Camp Auschwitz and 6MWNE shirts.
Among Marjorie Taylor Greene's deleted tweets are a chain in which she likes a tweets from an account that tweets Mossad conspiracies saying Israel killed JFK. pic.twitter.com/4pP8tNUiRL
Traditionally you make a small case out of the foreskins, and then if you need to you stroke it and it turns into Samsonite. But this new arrangement it's probably X-box + laser tag for Hannukkah.

A Black Conservative Christian Hollywood producer backed Greene.
He wrote a self-published book suggesting Donald Trump was sent by God
Conservative Evangelical prophets promoted the idea that Trump would win in 2020

Consider it note to self
Edit to add:
Wooden crosses were brought to the Capitol attack
I saw the 6 million was not enough t shirt worn at the attack connected to "the Jews killed Jesus"
I see Greene's objection to Muslims being in Congress and swearing in on Korans as being connected to the above
The connection is Christian Nationalism
I was musing that the Bible would suggest that they listen to false prophets
It also ties in to a Black Conservative believing that Trump was sent by God.
Again, note to self
2nd Edit to add:
Talking to male Black Conservative Christians about supporting Trump, the major objection to Democrats was the party's support for abortion
They interpreted the Bible as being strongly anti-abortion
Their anti-abortion stance outweighed the hatred of the acknowledged racism in the Republican Party
