I saw this a while ago live on CNN, too, it was great, Newsom really gave out hope vibes, seemed genuinely excited and invigorated over all the positive "thousand points of light" type developments getting to a critical mass:

Just saw @GavinNewsom on CNN, he gave facts, a plan, updated us on supply chain and manufacturing of PPE. Named Tim Cook and Elon Musk as his back up and gave us some hope.
California, as always, a leader.

What if the @NatlGovsAssoc organized a briefing every day at the same time as the WH briefing, and a few governors each day could describe what their states are doing, what lessons they’ve learned, what they need from citizens and the feds. And networks covered that instead.

I’m calling on the Federal Government to nationalize the medical supply chain.

The Federal Government should immediately use the Defense Production Act to order companies to make gowns, masks and gloves.

Currently, states are competing against other states for supplies.
