It's extremely doubtful it does. Like he suggests it's probably a Qanon type thing, they are known to be fixated on it. More like a waiting on JFK Jr. thing or rescuing the sex slaves at Comet Pizza thing. Most of those kind of conspiracy fanatics have moved beyond current politics because: none of their predictions about Trump et. al.have come true and he's been a big letdown. So to continue with their cognitive dissonance they have to invent other, increasingly bizarre stuff. Soon we may hearing of drinking poisoned koolaid to avoid monkeypox or JFK Jr.coming to rescue them in his spaceship that is the source of all those UFO's air force pilots are reportedly seeing lately.
I was just interested on Twitter because it's an example of iconoclasm.
Yeah, a different kind of nutsoid, closer to the 20,000 Mules etc.
On the woke stuff, when the Chaos Monkeys guy got fired i had arguments with ppl who'd tell me "the 1st amendment is only about government", which from what I recall growing up, "free speech" was a societal attitude, not a specific law aside from garnering #1 billing in the Bill of Rights, an attitude that placed the US above repressive regimes. Even a moderate expectation at work that you wouldn't get fired for saying most normal if controversial stuff (tho maybe not spend all shift doing it). "I disagree with you, but i will fight for your right to say it". But may not be good enough anymore - would help to know more about what's happening on campus - Bayesian categories of attitudes along with time shifts, not just "left/right" binary assessments. That undoubtedly is not the GOP's approach or intention.

This is an example of a shocking and hard to believe story where the author put a bunch of work into documenting it, so that you can actually believe it.
Good point. Trust yet verulify (sez my morning typing)
I have no trouble believing the events in question could happen at a public school in the current climate. But from a biased source like RedState, I would need to see thorough evidence—far from that, this article presents none.
Boebert diainfo vs what actually happened. Kind of like Bannon disinfo vs what happened. Kind of like Ali Alexander disinfo vs what happened. Kind of like Bill Barr disinfo vs what happened. Kind of like Roger Stone disinfo vs what really happened. There seems to be a trend maybe? Like the proud Proud Boy spouse writing an unbiased op-ed about the Proud Boy's w/o divulging she's married to a Proud Boy.
Her explanations of her arrests don’t even come close to matching up with the police reports. Her version of the incident with her husband is not even close to what witnesses said, and she fails to mention she was there when it happened.
Huh? None of that has anything to do with culture wars!. Apples and oranges. Lots of people didn't even pay attention, they are only hearing about it now. That was criminal politics. They were busy being distracted by and paying attention to Dr. Seuss books, police being evil, GenX bosses not being mindful of hurting the feelings of millennials in all manner of ways including a slur they put on Facebook 15 years ago, drag queen story hours at the library. complete new versions of U.S. history, and whether they had to pay reparations to people with black skin for what that history said their ancestors did (even though their grandfather came thru Ellis Island in 1910.) . Pronouns, they are of utmost import. But nothing is more important than rectifying white privilege, punishing all Karen's and promoting new dominance of all BIPOC (including Latinx) and LGBTQIA2S+.and putting white cis males at the bottom. After all, this country is systemically racist.
Point was simply while that 1 story about the kindergartner & any life matters rings true, in the face of continual concocted stories by the right it's hard to besure it actually happened in near that way. Yes, bad if they punished a child for an accurate statement (any lives matter) and discourage her from painting. But knowing how things get spun over and over, *did it actually happen?* Or did they just find a good way to pull our chain, punch our buttons with a slightly rewritten account?
Here's the PTA Facebook page that notes Chelsea Boyle haven't found any non-Redstate accounts (and the school if this is happening may have trouble responding publicly, making tilted playing field). Surprising to me I only see the 4 articles based on Red state, nothing more.

— Law professor Khiara Bridges, after explaining to Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) that more than just women are capable of giving birth pic.twitter.com/mpUHFG9wMp
Dumbfuck Khiara Bridges letting conservatives change the narrative by focusing on a handful of male pregnancies each year while 140 million women give birth and 70 million have abortion each year. Thanks for being so in love with your trivia and focus on the irrelevant that you drag *all* women down and help derail needed health care and pregnancy treatment for the half born as natural females.
Is exactly the kind of thing I mean when I say that nowadays the lefties are the main initiators of culture wars and conservatives are the reactors. Which the latter then use to distract the populace. (That's basically all of Fox News primetime programming these days - that's what they do for a living. At least Rush Limbaugh types used to talk economic policy too once in a while)
Again, for the umpteenth time: Dems need to do a Sister Souljah or these elite Woke types will be seen as a major part of their coalition. Conservatives will make sure that they are seen that way. i.e. Dems don't care so much about average real people, they care a lot more about small minority cultural identity groups.
This law professor thinks men can get pregnant and accuses people who disagree with her of bigotry. This is the left’s favorite play: manipulate language and emotions to make people change their behavior. #GreatSeparationpic.twitter.com/0VcixjBflE
No surprise to me, 24 hrs. later "MEN CANNOT GET PREGNANT" is now trending on Twitter. Everyone has to share their two cents about it and then debate. Instead of focusing on more important things, culture wars is again the main issue of the day, distracting away from what politicians are really doing.
WHO STARTED IT? THE DEMS ON THE COMMITTEE WHO INVITED A WOKE LAW PROFESSOR TO TESTIFY ON ABORTION. Hawley didn't like just bring up the topic out of thin air! A couple more GOP congresscritters added some tweets today to complement his viral performance and WE ARE OFF! Probably trending for a few days if not a full week or more.
Woke theory almost always starts it! People don't like it. It pisses them off! They get emotional and they get distracted! What would stop it: a couple Dem congresscritters saying to her right at the hearing I don't agree with that. That's all they had to do, but they won't, because for some reason they think they have to pander to the elite educated woke every time, no matter their issue. GOP salivates when they see it starting to happen.

and no surprise that Rep. Cori Bush tweeted today that Khiara Bridges is her new personal hero:

Our trans community members and all of us in Missouri who hold them close to our hearts as their rights are ruthlessly opposed by the likes of insurrectionist saluter Hawley thank you, Professor. https://t.co/NzHb3Xt4rp

Wait, i thot Margaret Sanger was a racist eugenicist for promoting abortions, and now whites are racist for being against abortion. I'm soooo confooosed.
Is it possible Dems could organize a sane group for PR, messaging and so forth rather than The Squad being the go-to for stupid quotes?
You have to Sister Souljah The Squad types in order for conservatives to stop using their culture warring to typecast the whole party. How many times and ways can I say it? The culture warring of elite woke types offer the perfect distraction for Republicans. The woke start it, the GOP uses it. (This goes all the way back to 80's and Christian conservatives complaining about "Hollywood", it is part of Lee Atwater politics.) If you want to win elections, you have to not only quit defending The Woke but denounce them. Just like Bill Clinton did with Sister Souljah.
This might change if more young people start voting in mid-terms and as older people die off. But just as likely is what's always happened: as the new generation ages, they throw away their shiny activist playthings
Who made sure Khiara Bridges was one of the expert witnesses at the Senate hearing? The Democratic party in charge of the Senate hearing!!! They offered her to Josh Hawley types on a platter. You blame the GOP as the instigators because the Democratic party won't disassociate themselves from The Woke but instead support them as part of their coalition. And you blame media for covering that even though it interests people and gets them eyeballs. That's crazy. You're in denial, blaming everyone for it except the responsible party.
Nobody forces Nancy Pelosi & Chuck Schumer to do things like this:
The Congressional Democrats are supportive of Identitarian politics and The Woke, they welcome them in their coalition instead of denouncing them (i.e., the DNC vs. the DLC. What we have now is the DNC. Except in Nevada, there even they just totally abdicated running the party and the DSA is in charge there now.)
Why do Dems have to Sistah Souljah but Reps can just double & triple down on the crazy and segue seamlessly to the new lie? They made up so much shit about "antifa" to help justify their insurrection, they made up an easily disproved tale about Ray Epps as 1 of many FBI undercover disturbers and keep parleying it. Ron DeSantis wanted crowds of unmasked infected people on the beach and other public locations and now he's a new rising GOP star/hopeful?
Having a dumb opinion is more forgivable in my book than straight out lies or suicidal behavior, but i guess that's just me.
Biden has good job numbers and handled the pandemic responsibly, and the propaganda machine's trying to make him the "worst president ever", so far with alarming success. But Dorothy can click her heels & say "Sister Souljah" and the Oz nightmare will be over I guess. Except nothing that worked in Clinton's time still works today - all that got run over with an 18-wheeler on the way to the new normal - "just say socialism a bunch of times and flyover will grab it's pitchforks and clutch it's pearls". Dumb fucking rubes.

"Heterosexual desire & passion" has to include "Leathers, Massa and Maids", rather than the run-of-the-mill "what turns 95% of guys & gals on?", which would be just too much to ask that for 1 chapter/lesson out of a suite that she just acknowledge the prevailing majority reality? I mean, "what made Friends so popular?", "why did the original morbid Pretty Woman script get turned into a suburb-appealing rom-com dressed as an un-dingy-fied prostitute tale?", "what percentage of America's sexual encounters are fairly straightforward missionary position and is that a problem?", "have our relationship roles basically stayed the same despite 'changes' over the last 50-60 years?", etc.

Yes, but I think the problem across the nonprofit space is not just the money but regardless of the cause you tend to attract people who really want to *do the work* and not be managers.
Leftwing nonprofits across the country have undergone similar transformations. From the Sierra Club to the Guttmacher Institute to the American Civil Liberties Union, the Intercept’s Ryan Grim reported last month, progressive advocacy groups have "effectively ceased to function," as their outward-facing missions fall prey to internal tumult.

Similar passages are found in Jeremiah 31:29 and Ezekiel 18:2
“In those days they will not say again,
‘The fathers have eaten [of bitter fruit],
And the children’s teeth are set on edge.’
But the teachings are the antithesis of this once widely held belief that children suffer the sins of their fathers; each soul is ultimately accountable for its own deeds and is made to die for its own sins, not that of others.
And that with the Lord’s oversight the belief that children are made to suffer the sins of their fathers will no longer be propounded as a truth, and shown for the falsehood it is.

Yes, I posted this on the right thread. The main negative thing about Sister Souljah is she was angry all the time and wanted to "fight". The raised fist symbol (which Josh Hawley just famously and ridiculously hypocritically used) is angry separatism and anti-democratic, signifies a willingness to fight the other forever, stoking anger forever, rather than compromise on a single thing with the other.

Who is the enemy of the American majority? One politically smart suggestion:
...This emerging New American Majority requires base broadening—not base mobilization strategies. This is important, because virtually every Washington consultant will reject this idea. But data shows there is a vastly larger majority emerging than Republicans have been used to engaging for the last 90 years. Reaching all of that majority requires new thinking about policy development, language, scheduling, and coalition building.
The big election campaign must be built around big solutions that can actually be implemented. The current crises of the American system, and the woke Left's assault on American values, require big solutions with broad support....
That's weird thing to me about American racial resentment discourse - the base state of the world is xenophobia and racism - the fact that there are any low RR people at all is the result of powerful developmental/cultural/ideological forces. https://t.co/sySi4ixBiE
I think the basic idea is that liberal cultural values started with extremely educated elites (like, literal aristocrats) and have gradually spread to the rest of the population via social diffusion/mass education/media https://t.co/PPl9cFBieT
^ to be clear, this is one key to current populist movements (ala Trump, yellow jackets in France, truckers in Canada, etc) - bonafide *aristocrats* shoving their ideas down the throats of *the people* (you can easily see it via the animosity to a Bill Gates or George Soros - they don't actually do *woke* but they are seen as one and the same, responsible and complicit, so are Yale and Harvard, Justin Trudeau, etc. Thing is it is hard to squeeze Biden into that category - unlike Obama, he always plied a working class persona - & I would argue that is why he was a winning candidate this time)

I see a JIHAD FORMING GOING AFTER BARNES & NOBLE; their name is trending on Twitter and this jihad appears to be why.
There’s a lot of misinformation, but here are the facts:
1. #BarnesAndNoble is refusing to stock most authors on shelves
2. It disproportionately affects marginalized authors, debuts, & MG
of confirmation from authors (including bestsellers), agents, editors, & booksellers
If you shop at #barnesandnoble, order books by BIPOC authors, marginalized authors, debut authors, LGBT authors, underrepresented authors. Tell them in the only language they speak ($$$) that these books matter, and that they are worthy of shelf space, too.

GOP salivates when they see it starting to happen.

by PeraclesPlease on Wed, 07/13/2022 - 1:53am
But just as likely is what's always happened: as the new generation ages, they throw away their shiny activist playthings
by artappraiser on Wed, 07/13/2022 - 8:27am
Except in Nevada, there even they just totally abdicated running the party and the DSA is in charge there now.)
by artappraiser on Wed, 07/13/2022 - 9:15am
