It's extremely doubtful it does. Like he suggests it's probably a Qanon type thing, they are known to be fixated on it. More like a waiting on JFK Jr. thing or rescuing the sex slaves at Comet Pizza thing. Most of those kind of conspiracy fanatics have moved beyond current politics because: none of their predictions about Trump et. al.have come true and he's been a big letdown. So to continue with their cognitive dissonance they have to invent other, increasingly bizarre stuff. Soon we may hearing of drinking poisoned koolaid to avoid monkeypox or JFK Jr.coming to rescue them in his spaceship that is the source of all those UFO's air force pilots are reportedly seeing lately.
I was just interested on Twitter because it's an example of iconoclasm.

On the woke stuff, when the Chaos Monkeys guy got fired i had arguments with ppl who'd tell me "the 1st amendment is only about government", which from what I recall growing up, "free speech" was a societal attitude, not a specific law aside from garnering #1 billing in the Bill of Rights, an attitude that placed the US above repressive regimes. Even a moderate expectation at work that you wouldn't get fired for saying most normal if controversial stuff (tho maybe not spend all shift doing it). "I disagree with you, but i will fight for your right to say it". But may not be good enough anymore - would help to know more about what's happening on campus - Bayesian categories of attitudes along with time shifts, not just "left/right" binary assessments. That undoubtedly is not the GOP's approach or intention.

Huh? None of that has anything to do with culture wars!. Apples and oranges. Lots of people didn't even pay attention, they are only hearing about it now. That was criminal politics. They were busy being distracted by and paying attention to Dr. Seuss books, police being evil, GenX bosses not being mindful of hurting the feelings of millennials in all manner of ways including a slur they put on Facebook 15 years ago, drag queen story hours at the library. complete new versions of U.S. history, and whether they had to pay reparations to people with black skin for what that history said their ancestors did (even though their grandfather came thru Ellis Island in 1910.) . Pronouns, they are of utmost import. But nothing is more important than rectifying white privilege, punishing all Karen's and promoting new dominance of all BIPOC (including Latinx) and LGBTQIA2S+.and putting white cis males at the bottom. After all, this country is systemically racist.

Point was simply while that 1 story about the kindergartner & any life matters rings true, in the face of continual concocted stories by the right it's hard to besure it actually happened in near that way. Yes, bad if they punished a child for an accurate statement (any lives matter) and discourage her from painting. But knowing how things get spun over and over, *did it actually happen?* Or did they just find a good way to pull our chain, punch our buttons with a slightly rewritten account?
Here's the PTA Facebook page that notes Chelsea Boyle haven't found any non-Redstate accounts (and the school if this is happening may have trouble responding publicly, making tilted playing field). Surprising to me I only see the 4 articles based on Red state, nothing more.

Which the latter then use to distract the populace. (That's basically all of Fox News primetime programming these days - that's what they do for a living. At least Rush Limbaugh types used to talk economic policy too once in a while)
Again, for the umpteenth time: Dems need to do a Sister Souljah or these elite Woke types will be seen as a major part of their coalition. Conservatives will make sure that they are seen that way. i.e. Dems don't care so much about average real people, they care a lot more about small minority cultural identity groups.

No surprise to me, 24 hrs. later "MEN CANNOT GET PREGNANT" is now trending on Twitter. Everyone has to share their two cents about it and then debate. Instead of focusing on more important things, culture wars is again the main issue of the day, distracting away from what politicians are really doing.
WHO STARTED IT? THE DEMS ON THE COMMITTEE WHO INVITED A WOKE LAW PROFESSOR TO TESTIFY ON ABORTION. Hawley didn't like just bring up the topic out of thin air! A couple more GOP congresscritters added some tweets today to complement his viral performance and WE ARE OFF! Probably trending for a few days if not a full week or more.
Woke theory almost always starts it! People don't like it. It pisses them off! They get emotional and they get distracted! What would stop it: a couple Dem congresscritters saying to her right at the hearing I don't agree with that. That's all they had to do, but they won't, because for some reason they think they have to pander to the elite educated woke every time, no matter their issue. GOP salivates when they see it starting to happen.

You have to Sister Souljah The Squad types in order for conservatives to stop using their culture warring to typecast the whole party. How many times and ways can I say it? The culture warring of elite woke types offer the perfect distraction for Republicans. The woke start it, the GOP uses it. (This goes all the way back to 80's and Christian conservatives complaining about "Hollywood", it is part of Lee Atwater politics.) If you want to win elections, you have to not only quit defending The Woke but denounce them. Just like Bill Clinton did with Sister Souljah.
This might change if more young people start voting in mid-terms and as older people die off. But just as likely is what's always happened: as the new generation ages, they throw away their shiny activist playthings

Who made sure Khiara Bridges was one of the expert witnesses at the Senate hearing? The Democratic party in charge of the Senate hearing!!! They offered her to Josh Hawley types on a platter. You blame the GOP as the instigators because the Democratic party won't disassociate themselves from The Woke but instead support them as part of their coalition. And you blame media for covering that even though it interests people and gets them eyeballs. That's crazy. You're in denial, blaming everyone for it except the responsible party.

Biden has good job numbers and handled the pandemic responsibly, and the propaganda machine's trying to make him the "worst president ever", so far with alarming success. But Dorothy can click her heels & say "Sister Souljah" and the Oz nightmare will be over I guess. yeah it's well said. the main problem is too many elite educated millennials have been raised and educated to be self-righteous narcissists. but the really tragic thing about it is that they think they are being empathetic to others, unfortunately it's based on stereotypes of "others" they never interacted with in reality (AND were actually protected from interacting with them) but were taught the stereotypes by narcissists as well.

I mean, "what made Friends so popular?", "why did the original morbid Pretty Woman script get turned into a suburb-appealing rom-com dressed as an un-dingy-fied prostitute tale?", "what percentage of America's sexual encounters are fairly straightforward missionary position and is that a problem?", "have our relationship roles basically stayed the same despite 'changes' over the last 50-60 years?", etc.

Yes, I posted this on the right thread. The main negative thing about Sister Souljah is she was angry all the time and wanted to "fight". The raised fist symbol (which Josh Hawley just famously and ridiculously hypocritically used) is angry separatism and anti-democratic, signifies a willingness to fight the other forever, stoking anger forever, rather than compromise on a single thing with the other.
