I have posted about Byrna before. They market a non-lethal gun that is available for use in security and law enforcement situations. Byrna has put together something called a "Byrna School Safety Plan."

Also the "Parents Demand for Action" Letter Template.

Ultimately, this is the sort of thing I was talking about with progressive alternatives. The whole appeal to people having weapons in the first place was to keep them and their loved ones safe. By acting like the scourge of school shootings is not a problem at all, the NRA is providing an opportunity to organizations like Byrna to take the torch from them.
