This is why I didn't like Kamala Harris cross-examining in Congress - she gets to a point that pleases her base, those dissecting the tea leaves, but never puts the the shiv fully in, doesn't finish the job, make the politician *own* his piece of perjury and dissimulation. To make him pay not just for the answer, but the horrifying insulting feigned stupidity along the way. It's all luke-warm, I spit it out. AOC on the other hand puts in these sweet yet disembowling "ok, so you just told me something completely batshit insane - moving on..." placeholders, not wasting her 5 minutes, getting it down on the record, *she* ends it on her terms.
