Yeah, this was speculated early on even before the investigation started - and there had been a round of recent warnings to ( all dive boats? all boats? at least in California?) about the danger of charging Lithium batteries as found in cameras and phones on-board. Especially in that space between sleeping quarters & upstairs safety?
