Wow: The National Enquirer's parent company has admitted to prosecutors that it made the $150,000 payment in "concert with" the Trump campaign "in order to ensure that the woman did not publicize damaging allegations about the candidate before the 2016 presidential election."
Note that Trump can't plead ignorance to all this, as Cohen was involve in a legal case that reflected on campaign contributions several years ago that Trump was involved with or aware of.

I'm not a lawyer, but seems to me pretty hard to enforce an NDA designed to cover up an admitted felony.
