Forces loyal to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi have launched their first bombing raids on the main rebel-held city of Benghazi.

CAIRO - Residential areas of Ajdabiyah in eastern Libya came under heavy artillery bombardment on Thursday, satellite television channels reported. A rebel fighter also told Reuters by telephone there was heavy fighting in Ajdabiyah, south of the rebel stronghold of Benghazi, between forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi and rebels.....
