Uh, Clyburn rescued Biden in the primary, and the other candidates basically folded with Kamala as the presumed VP candidate. Not a "conspiracy" - known fact. Whether Clyburn expects more is another issue, but the Supreme Court is not far off Biden's path.

I was joking. But it is clearly a factor in both "liking" her, they met her already, etc.

Also,.the progressive media complaining about her record -- did they also do so when Obama appointed her? You know, the president we had who was also a Constitutional lawyer and professor and president of Harvard Law Review, that one?

What wouldn't surprise me is if the progressives complaining about also complained mightily about Obama being a DINO.

I suspect we probably disagree some with how unified the Dem party is; I don't think it is at all, I think it's like two parties.

Edit to add: And I am also getting really close to thinking they are going to fucking kill the Dem party for the foreseeable future, ala Bill Maher's rant, they need to STFU and sit down again, thru Nov. of this year. Really fed up with The Woke, especially, I think they're gonna ruin the last years of my life...Bernie himself, he's a different iind of lefty, he knows how to avoid that Woke religion crap.

Also I am curious where you got the idea that Clyburn was simpatico with "progressives"? I sure haven't. He basically told the whole progressive caucus to sit down and shut up after the Dems lost House seats in 2020, agreed with those blaming progressives for those losses, and was worried they would wreck the Georgia Senate race vote.

When Reagan said it, it was more "during my term I'll put a woman on the court" - 1 of several, and of course women make up half the population, not 13%. Is there an Asian justice, child of Vietnamese immigrants or Afghani or Russian or Sudan? If there's another talented Hispanic judge, do they just skip him or her? Rather unartfully expressed
