I'm torn; I think Nancy is right, but maybe for a different reason than she thinks she's right. I don't know if Trump will self-implode/self-impeach, but I know Congress hasn't done the work to find out everything and give America a sense of the awesome scope of corruption here. https://t.co/vuChiHvdgH
To be clearer, Mueller said he does not want to testify and will only testify as to what is in the report. That means he likely will have to be subpoenaed and can fight that in court if he chooses. https://t.co/NpJ0K6BkB7
Mueller did his worst to frame Trump and failed but he did manage to frame some of Trump's associates. Now he makes the ludicrous claim he was worried about being fair to Trump if he charged him for obstruction of injustice under DOJ guidelines.
He's running scared from having to answer many questions under oath about his behavior with the most important one being when did he know there was no Trump/Putin collusion? He may have to take The Fifth to avoid revealing that he was running an almost two year long obstruction entrapment scheme to feed red meat to the slavering mob in congress.

Who is running scared and instructing people to ignore subpoenas?
“If we had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so,” Mr. Mueller said, reading from prepared notes behind a lectern at the Justice Department. “We did not, however, make a determination as to whether the president did commit a crime.”
He also said that while Justice Department policy prohibits charging a sitting president with a crime, the Constitution provides for another process to formally accuse a sitting president of wrongdoing — a clear reference to the ability of Congress to begin impeachment proceedings.
These are the weasel words of a police state inquisitor. A DOJ investigator/prosecutor's job is binary, to charge or not to charge a crime and to keep his opinions to himself. Barr asked Mueller directly three times if his decision not to make a decision on obstruction was based on DOJ not being able to charge a sitting president and he said no so someone is lying and Barr may have witnesses.
Mueller's task was to delay the Spygate investigation and make it disappear if Trump could be hounded out of office one way or another but he failed. Now he is trying to slink away with his tail between his legs and avoid answering for his unethical actions. This smoke screen diversion is a weak and dumb attempt to cover for the people responsible for corruption that began long before Trump ran for office. It was tested on McCain and used successfully against Flynn when he publicly opposed Obama's crap Iran deal in 2014. Two players in this present and past corruption, Halper and Dearlove, were the ones who smeared Flynn and they also worked directly with the Russian propagandists who were named by Steele as his sources for his bogus dossier.
The shit is about to hit the fan and all of these rat bastards will be coated in the stink they deserve.

So you still don't know fuck all about anything, yet you keep showing up here to spout your ignorance and insult people. Mueller was *NOT* an "investigator" or "prosecutor" - he was "Special Counsel". Note especially the important words in c): "if... necessary and appropriate", "authorized", "arising from..."
The language of the order underlines the contradiction of Barr objecting to Mueller's obedience to the OLC memo because the letter Barr wrote to get his job expands on the logic of the memo to exclude all investigations of the POTUS. Barr is saying Mueller failed to do a job that shouldn't exist.
Barrett Brown trashes one of your disinfo spouting-shit buddies continually claiming "conspiracy" and "deep state" - take it as an indictment of you as well - no matter how many times people dig out and publish the truth (or it's waving obviously in front of their eyes), people like you come along to spout absolute shit about it and claim "blue is really pink". Congrats, you're a character and caricature from 1984.
Criminals in Russiagate are in jail, dude - and you don't have word 1 about how if they were "framed" a fucking jury (or a judge) wouldn't have used those facts to acquit. Manafort was convicted on *10 counts* by jury in Virginia - we can argue about those other counts, but at these point he's guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty - plus his DC convictions - and the sleazy son-of-a-bitch was Trump's campaign manager - or are you gonna deny that as well?
Got some questions for you regarding that article you dared me to write for @NatCounterPunch
1. Have you ever criticized @ggreenwald for the recent closure of the Snowden Archive? If you're unfamiliar with circumstances, here are leaked docs on it:https://t.co/OBQ1UYo2V9
Who did Mueller frame, Peter? Fucking Flynn, who lied to the FBI *long before Mueller* to covered up his activities? Fucking Manafort, who funneled millions from Ukrainians and others thru a web of accounts and never declared it? Fucking say it, you dickweed - who the fuck did Mueller frame? Answer? Fucking nobody, so shut the fuck up unless you have some actual info rather than jackiff blathering on bligs. Read the goddamn Mueller report and point to a fucking page where you disagree for some goddamn real reason or get your sorry lying ass out if here.
Now he makes the ludicrous claim he was worried about being fair to Trump if he charged him for obstruction of injustice under DOJ guidelines.
Mueller said that the OLC memo was sound as a constitutional principle because of the responsibility Congress has to decide whether to remove a President from office. Perhaps you disagree with the reasoning. It is far from ludicrous, however. I get no picture in my head when I say your sentence out loud.
As far as transparency goes, you probably are on board with efforts by the House to see the unredacted report so that the "framing" you suspect can be investigated. That is a better resource for finding the truth than asking Mueller if he is secretly making pizzas for Hillary.
You said that your investigation’s work “speaks for itself.” It doesn’t.

Dear Mr. Mueller,
It probably hasn’t escaped your attention (in my mind, nothing escapes your attention) that I play a version of you on “Saturday Night Live.” As “Robert Mueller,” my character is intimidating because he is so honest and upright. I do it for comic effect — that’s the intention anyway — but there’s also a lot of truth to it. To put it another way — it’s good-natured fun, but not entirely good-natured.
[....]
As I prepared for my role on the show, I got to know you a lot better. I read about your lifetime devotion to public service and your respect for the rule of law. I watched how you presided over the special counsel’s office apparently without leaks. And you never wavered, even in the face of regular vicious attacks from the president and his surrogates.
While I and so many Americans have admired your quiet, confident, dignified response in ignoring that assault, it allowed the administration to use its own voice to control the narrative. And those voices are so loud and so persistent that they beat even reasonable people into submission. The loudest, most persistent voice belongs to the president himself, and under most circumstances, we want to believe our president.
And here, Mr. Mueller, is where you come in — where you need to come in. In your news conference, you said that your investigation’s work “speaks for itself.” It doesn’t. It may speak for itself to lawyers and lawmakers who have the patience and obligation to read through the more than 400 pages of carefully chosen words and nuanced conclusions (with all due respect, as good a read as it is, you’re no Stephen King).
You’ve characterized the report as your testimony, but you wouldn’t accept that reason from anyone your office interviewed. Additional information and illumination emerge from responses to questions. I know you’re as uncomfortable in the spotlight as the president is out of it. I know you don’t want to become part of the political spectacle surrounding Russia’s crimes and your report on them. I know you will, however reluctantly, testify before Congress if called, because you respect the system and follow the rules, and I understand why you’d want to do it away from the public glare.
But the country needs to hear your voice. Your actual voice [....]
