This article -- examining the new proof that research funded by Dr. Fauci did exactly what he's spent 18 months vehemently denying and calling everyone a liar for suggesting: making bat coronaviruses more contagious -- is absolutely crucial to read:https://t.co/sngyge177q
Maybe it's just coincidence, but it does seem like there is some major oppo research going on as regards Fauci:
Bipartisan legislators demand answers from Fauci on 'cruel' puppy experiments, the Hill reports. Props @peta for exposing *profoundly* senseless, sadistic "experiment" earlier this year https://t.co/vULMsF7fI5#stupidhumans
Yesterday, I sent a letter to Dr. Fauci regarding cruel, taxpayer-funded experiments on puppies; debarking before drugging and killing them. Thankful to my 23 democrat and republican colleagues who signed on. This is disgusting. What say you @NIHpic.twitter.com/c54SXipD9Q

NIH is trying to cover their ass. Of course, politics should be left out of virus research, but the Obama era strict rules I mentioned in my post should be reinstituted on an even stricter basis.
As to Fauci, you don't last 40 years as a fund approval guy for government research by telling virus researchers they can't do cool risky stuff in their labs. Like create a pandemic virus, perhaps.
Particularly when only pols like Obama, smart enough to understand the risks of the chicanery they are up to, are rare as hens teeth in politics.
To be more clear than Vanity Fair, Daszak himself said that Wuhan was creating dangerous human infecting possible pandemic viruses.
On 9 December 2019, before the outbreak of the pandemic became generally known, Dr. Daszak gave an interview link.
In which he talked in glowing terms of how researchers at theWuhan Institute of Virology had been reprogramming the spike protein and generating chimeric coronaviruses capable of infecting humans. From the interview:
"And we have now found, you know, after 6 or 7 years of doing this, over 100 new sars-related coronaviruses, very close to SARS,” Dr. Daszak says around minute 28 of the interview. “Some of them get into human cells in the lab, some of them can cause SARS disease in humanized mice models and are untreatable with therapeutic monoclonals and you can’t vaccinate against them with a vaccine. So, these are a clear and present danger…"
