MURDER, POLITICS, AND THE END OF THE JAZZ AGE
by Michael Wolraich
Lovely comments, barely restrained from bursting out love:
"Look, I respect the vice president. He and I had strong disagreements on whether we should torture people or not. I didn’t think we should have. But the fact is that I’m proud of Sarah Palin, I’m proud of the job she did, I’m proud of the job she continues to do. So, everybody has their own views and I respect those views."
Yes, I respect supporters of torture even though I was once tortured. What else does he have to say?
"Informed that Cheney’s daughter, Liz, broke with her father and praised Palin, McCain laughed.
“Is that right?” he said. “Everybody’s entitled.
Not "Everybody's entitled to their own opinion" - just "everybody's entitled". Perhaps that wasn't a Freudian slip pointed at Baby Dick, but maybe so.
He probably recalls her comment about being a "sad day" if he were elected. Or he just noted her "Palin's more qualified than Obama & Biden put together" comment - wow, do you think Liz knows Sarah resigned the governorship after 2 1/2 years.
Meaning her great contribution to Alaska was being absent on campaign, and helping tea party get elected and seeing her kids on reality TV and bailing out of a cross-country bus tour that made 1 town? 2 towns? (even the Sex Pistols held their American tour together longer than that).
But great to see the GOP taking on friendly fire - would be happy to donate a 100-round clip or two.
