McDonalds permanently closing 200 locations across US, reports lowest quarterly profits in 13 yrs.

- McDonald's same-store sales plummeted by 23.9% in the most recent quarter, the fast-food giant reported on Tuesday.
- The fast-food giant plans to close roughly 200 restaurants in the US in 2020, more than half of which are McDonald's located in Walmart stores.
- The coronavirus pandemic forced McDonald's locations to close dining rooms around the world, as well as temporarily shutter locations in countries including the UK, Spain, and France.
