BTW, I was mindful of the New Yorker strike situation and was thinking of honoring their requests even though I pay for a subscription I can ill afford. Then I read this by Ben Smith @ the NYTimes, June 13: Why The New Yorker’s Stars Didn’t Join Its Union and it all sounded too much like Yglesias at Vox and similar (and even a little like the "Strike MOMA" crew at times) and I decided we need more quality journalism of the meritocratic variety than we do millennial spoiled brats thinking everyone should be paid the same no matter what they do...
