I want to refine my comment, he's waaay more talented than Trump at doing the mass market emotion provocation hyberpole thing.

“Our troops didn't die in Yorktown, didn't take Normandy beach, didn't rebuild Europe and secure the postwar peace that you are now destroying, Mr. President, for you to live as a Manchurian candidate in our White House," Avenatti said during the speech, the text of which he posted on Twitter.

Must really be something working with a jury.

50-60 years ago this snippet would have been unremarkable. Now it's like Shakespeare on stilts. In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. (no disparagement to Avenatti, who's showing some amazing energy and seems to have found his nut or groove - to put it plainly).
